We are there end of August and its not quite looking like BB will be open..we love the water park option as we usually at least do each water park once, with BB not open, we may or may not do it twice. Any advice on if we should just scrap it? Can you even add just a 1 day waterpark to your stay or would we just pay at the gate?

Sorry, yes I am aware, I meant we likely wont be able to do both BB and TL so unsure if its even worth it to get the water park add on option.

Oh, no clue. I don't water park - last time I went to one (not Disney), I flew so high up on the wall of one - that thankfully was a tunnel or i would have flown out - it flipped me over onto my stomach. No more. I always thought it was admission to one though - but I never looked closely at it.

You can buy water park only tickets online. If you're also doing theme parks, might be worth seeing if there's a cost saving with the park hopper + water park option. It was a little tricky to find the water park only tickets on the MDE app so I just bought the tickets halfway during my last trip on the mobile site. Once the tickets are linked to everyone in the party it will show up on the app.

Whether it's worth keeping or scrapping...if you really like the water parks it might be worth keeping. If you qualify for the discount price, I think it's worth that, but not $69 + tax.

I think you should drop it just in principle. Drives me crazy how much they want to charge ppl. for less and less.

Please price things out before cancelling your WP pass. Do you have PH tickets? If so it’s only a little more to add the WP option. E.g I quickly compared s 3 day ticket with PH to a 3 day with PH+ and the price difference was only $20. That $20 could offer you 1, 2 or 3 WP days or other options.

If you have PH tickets and are planning to go to even one WP it is a far better choice to keep what you currently have rather than pay full price for a 1 day WP ticket.

This would make no difference to Disney but could be very costly to OP per above.

We dont park hop, so no hoppers, just the water park option and genie + with a 4 day park ticket.

As PP suggests - price it out. The Water Parks & Sports option added to a 4-day base ticket is $70 while a 1-day Water Park ticket is $69. In addition to one day at TL you also will have 3 additional "entries" for another water park day/partial day, mini-golf, or Oak Trail golf/footgolf.

what you mean?

I am planning to buy a 5 day ticket for disney parks. I might be getting a water park day extra. so we should do 5 day ticket plays water park sports option? that would mean 5 park tickets and 5 water park/mini golf (10 days total?) sorry, never done this before

The waterpark & sports add-on for a base ticket is (I think) a flat $70 regardless of the number of days on your base ticket; even less to add-on to a park-hopper ticket. With the add-on you get as many "plus" options as theme park days -- so a 5-day ticket gives you 5 plus options: waterpark (BB and/or TL), mini-golf before 4pm (WinterSummerland and/or Fantasia), Oak Trail 9-hole golf or Oak Trail footgolf.

It isn't an extra 5 days but an extra 5 "plus" entries. The plus options can be used on the same day as a theme park entry or separately. You can do a theme park + mini-golf on the same day which uses 1 theme park entry and 1 plus entry. Or you can use multiple plus options on the same day such as Oak Trail and a waterpark which uses 2 plus entries but no theme park entries.

By comparison a 1-day waterpark ticket is $69 (or $64 off-season).

so I can still have the 5 days for disney parks, but I will have 5 passes EXTRAS that I can use only at disney water parks and golf correct? well, even though I will only stay a week, I think it is worth to buy the water park option because it breaks even (I was planning to go only once to a water park, but can hit minigolf that day)

We found it worthwhile, even for only using the Waterpark once during on trip back in April. We did mini golf one afternoon as well. It was nice to have options and not worry about the price of them. If you think you even 'might' go to the waterpark more than once it is worth it I think. But, of course, everyone's situation is different.

If I have 5-day tickets, can I add the water park and sports add-on at any point during our trip? Or do I have to do it before the first day of our trip? Reason I'm asking is that our plan to do a water park is contingent on weather. And if it's not above 80 for any of our few non-park days, we might just skip it altogether. Conversely, if it's above 80 for both days, we'd like to do water parks twice.
