Drop on Jurassic Park vs. Journey to Atlantis?

OK in all the times I have been to Universal I have never ridden Jurrasic Park. I hate that drop feeling. The last ride I was on with the drop like that was Journey to Atlantis several years ago and I screamed so loud going down the lady in front of us turned aroud and asked "Who WAS that?" lol I am normally a very quiet gal! Anyway how do you think JP is worse than that? My DH really wants me to go on it next time we go.

Just my opinion, but I think the drop on JTA feels worse than the drop on JPRA because the "boat" on JTA is much smaller so you really seem to fly down the hill, somewhat like Ripsaw Falls. I also got much wetter on JTA. On JPRA, if you sit in row 3 or 4, you really don't get very wet at all. All bets are off in row 1 though . I believe that the drop on JPRA is actually higher than the drop on JTA but IMO, it's easier to take.

JTA's drop is 60ft (or is it 65ft?) at a 45 degree angle. JPRA's drop is 85ft at a 50 degree angle.

I, too, have gotten much wetter on JTA than JP. I've also seen people come off of JPRA soaked, regardless of which row they were in.

Just got back from riding both, definately thought Jurassics drop was more impressive and steeper but we got wetter on Atlantis.

JP's drop is taller and steeper (and completely in the dark). However it's a lot smoother than JTA's and won't get you as wet. JTA has the roughest drop I've ever experienced on a flume. They need to replace that track.
