Driving to the parks for the first time?

Going in December, I’ve decided to drive my own car instead of using the bus system, just as an additional safety precaution.

How soon can I get to the parking lots to park? I know regularly (pre-COVID), parking lots would open an hour before parking opening. But with the reports that the parks have been opening before scheduled time, does that mean the parking lots are opening sooner too?

I believe the parking lots are opening approximately 45 minutes before posted park opening time.

Parking lots are opening 45-60 minutes before posted park opening. If you get there to early, security will make you loop around.
