Driving to/from New York

thanks ColUK, I am begining to wonder if it is worth the drive, there are a couple of place to see but not much in over 1000 miles. plus I am on my hols not sure if i really want to be driving. I might look into internal flights from NY to ORL too.

Thanks again

As patdavies has said in an earlier post, one way rentals are prohibitavely expensive.

For 20 years I have been visiting New York and Florida because my wife has family in both.

New York is certainly well worth a visit, but I would consider a two centre trip by air.

Maybe on another trip you should do as I did, and take a circular trip starting and finishing at the same point, before flying down to Florida. (I took a circular loop half way down the Blue Ridge Mountains, then back to New York by way of Williamsberg & Washington)

If you are trying to drive NY to WDW with limited time, all you are going to see is Freeways and the backside of trucks.

Cheers Andrew

I must admit, I had not spent too much time looking into what we could see en-route. We will have four weeks in total, and I want about 16 days at WDW so we have a fair bit too see in NY and down the eastern seaboard. The 1000 mile drive does not worry me too much I think I need to spend some time researching the places we can see on the way from NY to Orlando.

Thanks mate

Steve
