Driving to Disneyland

we just got back from christmas at disneyland, and my kids and I have decided that it was so fun, we would love to do it again. To save a bit, we were thinking of driving. Has anyone done the december drive from british columbia, or even washington that could give me some input as to how good/bad the roads are. I am not afraid of winter driving but don't know the road so just wonder how bad it gets that time of year. Thank you so much for any responses.
