We are staying at Fort Wilderness in late March and my sister and her family are staying at Pop Century. Can they drive there car to our campsite? Do they have to park in the front and take a bus over? Thanks.

They can drive to your site if say you have a motorhome or moved your tv to the overflow lot. You're only allowed one vehicle per site. If this is the case, you can call the front desk and tell them you're expecting a guest.

If they have a vehicle already on the site, then yes they will have to park in the overflow and ride a bus to your loop. There is no reason for them to go to check in, just walk straight to the bus.

Hey Donnie, will they even let them in without a parking permit for FW? I've always thought they would automatically turn them away at the security gate. :confused3

go past the FW entrance and just before you get to end of the parking lots there is another entrance there to the big lot we know some locals who park there and then walk over and hop on the busses from there. We park our enclosed trailer over there and if you are going to leave a vehicle over night they will give you something to put in the windshield.

We have visited people, and had visitors many times, and only once have they had to park and us go get them. Usually if you let them know you are expecting someone, they will let them in. But, if they are staying for a period of time you may need to take their car out anyways.

I had some friends come visit back in January and I called the front desk and told them their name and they said no problem and when they arrived they gave them directions to our site. Now if somebody is working who doesn't know that is possible I could see getting turned away.
