Driving to AKL for early ADRs...

this is my first "newbie" thread - so bear with me please!!

We have 7:30am ADRs at Boma (AKL) & we're staying at WL. I know there is no bus from WL to AKL so it's been suggested that since we'll have our car to just drive from WL to AKL - we're then heading to AK for the day - can I leave the car at AKL and take a bus to the AK or do we need to drive then to AK??

I just remember the horrible bus ride from AK to WL after a terribly hot day last June......YIKES!!

You should be given a 3 hour pass when you enter AKL to eat, which means you will have to move your car to go to AK. Some people say that these are not usually enforced, but would you really want to take the bus to AK, then back to AKL, then drive to WL when you could just take the car with you?

I completely agree with you about taking buses & the car would be a pain, but I wasnt sure how horrible the parking at AK would be and if the car/bus combo would be easier...

I have heard that sometimes they close off the closer parking areas until later in the day and make you park way out there first thing in the morning - and since I've never driven to AK I wasnt sure..

Drive to breakfast at Boma. Then, when you're done eating, move your car, with you all in it, over to AK for the day. Much better than worrying about buses.
