Driving times within the resorts?

May be a silly question, forgive me if it has been asked before!

We are driving down and so we will have a vehicle on site. We are staying at POR. Most of our dinner ADRs are at other resorts, not in the parks. For the ones that are a definite bus to DTD, then a second bus to the resort, are we better to just drive ourselves over?

Is there a timing list anywhere that states driving times between resorts?

Thanks!

1. Yes.

2. Although the longest drive-time between the most distant from each other resorts would be
about 15 minutes. Figure 45 minutes, give or take, to allow for unexpected delays and parking.

We're in the same boat as you. I was wondering the same thing, if we should just skip the bus and use our own vehicle primarily, especially with a toddler/stroller in tow.

Between the resorts (the ones not connected via monorail and/or boats) it makes sense to drive.

And just to note - if you do drive (and I agree that you probably should), you will need to stop at the resort entrance security gate. All you need to do there is explain you have a dining reservation and they will wave you through. Some might have to check a master list but it will be no problem.

I agree with driving between resorts as well. We never have a car but a couple trips ago we started taking taxis as needed to travel between resorts because the buses take forever, especially when you're trying to make an ADR. So worth it.

Drive for the most part.

I'd think that 15 minutes is probably about the average.

The only yes-but to that might be driving to to DTD . The lights are long and poorly timed. And the parking! oy vey.

And I haven't experienced the construction issues and parking I've been hearing about.

If you are staying at POR, why would you take a bus to DTD?? Save time and traffic delays by taking the boat. And if taking a bus to get to a resort DONTgo via DTD (unless its late at night and all the parks are closed). Catch a bus to the closest park and transfer there. If its late, we usually return to our resort by taxi.

We never drive to any resort ADRs. DH likes to enjoy a drink or two, and would never drive after doing so.
