Driving time from DL to LGB on a Tuesday Afternoon?

We managed to get a super cheap mini-van on priceline , so we'll be driving back to the airport rather than going back to our hotel to take a shuttle.

Our flight is at 6:20pm on a Tuesday. We usually allow around 2 hours because we have two small children (though I'm sure we could get away with a bit less at LGB because it's such a small airport). What time do you think we need to aim to leave the DL parking garage?

I would leave before 3pm. It's not far, but you don't want to have issues with traffic. Rush hour here starts around 3pm.

hmmm thats a hard one to say...Ive driven to LB during the summer mid afternoon and I didnt take the fwy...I drove city all the way and it took me about 45 min. mostly because of stop lights so even if there was traffic Im not sure you would not have to leave before 3pm but I would leave by 4 max...thats one of those things your going to have to decide yourself...hopefully other people can throw their opinions in...good luck

Thank you! I'm thinking maybe 330 should be plenty of time. Even if it takes us an hour and a half we'll still easily make our flight at a small airport...

If you go down Ball Rd (which becomes Wardlow and dead ends at the airport), you will be there in plenty of time leaving at 3:30. I use to make that drive all the time. There is not much traffic, just lights. You could of course go on the freeway, but it can get crowded and you would also actually drive more miles.
