ok, first question:

which do you prefer: flying to florida, or driving to florida?

second:
my family drives to florida EVERY YEAR!!! its about a 20 hour drive (from PA)
and it can get SO BORING!

any suggestions on what to do to pass the time??/ :confused3

leaving TONIGHT...please post soon!!!!! :hourglass

i prefer to fly.
reasoning?
okay, it takes 20 hours to drive to freakin' Toronto. it would take us like a week to get there cos we'd have to think about weather, sleeping, stopping in other places, eating.. etc.

basically, listen to your MP3 (or cd player) and lip sync to it. it drives my brother nuts when i do it. if you have siblings, i recommend a flat surface and a deck of cards.

I prefer flying because it's a lot faster! :goodvibes

Ummm...play some car games, like the alphabet license plate game, read a book, listen to music (and sing along... :goodvibes ), or sleep. I hope you lots of fun on your vacation! :cool1:

FLY!! I LOVE flying!! Hate driving, only like a half day drive though for me. Listen to music, and SLEPP!! Also reading, if ya dont get car sick passes a LOT of time! And have a WONDERFUL time!!!!

It seems that I'm the only one who likes driving. We live about 12-13 hours from Disney and even though it gets really boring, I think it helps build your anticipation. Plus, we always enjoy looking for the first palm trees, first Orlando signs, etc. Flying is good too... actually I guess I prefer flying when we're there only for a short trip.

If you're leaving tonight, it's a bit late to get plane reservations. Orlando/Florida can get really busy during the summer, so it may be quite a bit hard to get the reservation.
I like both...flying more so, but driving is fun too. I play with my DS, listen to music, or just talk. My Dad and I both enjoy history, so it's fun to duiscuss it on long car trips.

well my mom's van has a tv in it so I hook up the ps2 and I'm all good, it takes you 20 hours? wow! when I lived in NJ it took me 15, ok so we know a few short cuts...:). I will have to endure a 20 hour drive this year.

We drive. Then again it's only a few hours away... I just watch 2/3 movies and I'm there! :rotfl: Just a few more days....then I'll be at WDW!

Usually I like to fly because it is fast. If I had A LOT time for a vacation I would like to drive and see the sights along the way.

:)

Flying. I live in Hawaii.I dont think that driving would be possible. ;)

i LOVE flying! i don't like driving to different places if they're far away. last year, we went to Mall of America and took us 10-12 hrs......but we did stop in wisconsin over nite! i still prefer flying!

I like to drive. We don;t have much of a choice since we take our dog along, but the drive from NY is always a fun one. We usually stay down in Orlando for a while so we can bring as much as we want and put it all in the trunk or our roof bag. Road trips are my favorite, I love driving down I-95 and stopping at different rest stops, looking for South of the Border signs, and seeing the landscape change. I usually pass the time by listeneing to my MP3 player and watching movies on our portable DVD player. We're doing it again in three weeks and I can't wait!

you've made a point.
he could fly, but i think there's a law about the dog having to be pure bred.. and it's expensive, and hectic for a dog.

I LOVE to fly. I love waking up at 3AM thinking "I'm going to WDW!!" Then at the airport I am beyond excited to board the plane. And the word excited is an understatment.

I like flying because there's a bathroom on the plane and we don't need to stop and take breaks or sleep. You can sleep on the plane. And it is also less crowded. I'd hate driving down there in my car, because it is VERY small and I can't sit with my siblings w/o arguing.

When I drive up to New Hampshire, I mostly listen to my ipod and stare out the window thinking about stuff. Or read. Reading passes a lot of time. Especially if you enjoy the book you are reading.

I prefer to fly because I get bored really easily lol

If you're driving you should sleep, or listen to music. You could also get a portable dvd player. We got ours for a really good price and it's great because movies really keep you occupied.

Flying, I love the peanuts! Besides for the peanuts it's faster.

I'm a flyer. I suggest reading or listening to music. I always get all the magazines I can right before a trip, and then wait till I'm on the plane to read them.

I prefer to fly only because if we drive we bring way too much stuff. My dad doesn't like to stop if we can so it gets really tight and stuffy.

When we drive i sit in the back of the van and listen to my iPod and fall asleep. I also read and do homework.
