I can get the Swan for $157 a night, or
keep my $77 a night POP reservations.
Icannot decide if I should spend the extra $90 (includes $10 resort fee)
for the Swan?? it is deluxe versus value.

Any advice is appreciated.

God bless and Merry Christmas!! :flower1:

There is really no comparison between the two. The swan..totally deluxe, on disney..so definately deluxe. The beds are wonderful, and the restaurant options nearby are all excellent.

Pop, is great, for a low end resort...we have stayed there and it is just fine. Food court is ok, better at the all stars.

Did anyone mention location yet?! :flower1: The boardwalk area is and AWESOME place to stay... I know if it were me I'd be at the swan in a second!

I had a reservation at Pop Century at a really good cast member rate, and at the last minute switched to the Dolphin (I usually stay at the Swan). I don't regret my decision one bit!

If you can swing the price difference, definitely do the Swan. You can't beat having two parks right at your door.

I haven't stayed at POP, but I have stayed at ASMu & Swan. I'll agree with the others. If you can afford it, stay at Swan. Being on the boardwalk is great! Either way, you're at WDW. How can you go wrong?

I agree with everyone if you can afford it go for the Swan! I have stayed at the All Stars and at the Swan, believe me you cannot compare the 2. The vaules are fine for a room to sleep and shower in but the Swan is a resort. Wonderful pool, a variety of food options, and best WALKING distance to 2 parks and the Boardwalk. We have stayed there 3 times and I loved it everytime! Enjoy!

Pop is nice, but I'd probably pick the Swan for location. However, if money is an issue, we really enjoyed Pop and wouldn't mind going back there. Don't feel that it's a bad resort. I haven't stayed at the Swan but it's lovely and very close to Epcot and MGM. Pop is about a 15 minute bus ride away from the parks.

These days $157 is a GREAT rate at the Swan. You'll have a chance to stay at POP again at a discount rate. A low rate at the Swan seems to be getting harder to come by. We stayed at Swan on our last trip, but couldn't get a good discount for our March trip so we are doing a CR/POR split. If the Swan rates came down, we'd be there in a heartbeat. It's a great place all the way around.

I stayed at POP and it was really fun. I would definetly think about going back. I have never stayed at the swan. But if you can swing it at that rate, what not!? It sounds GREAT. The rate sounds great!

Swan! Swan! Swan! No doubt about it. If you can pay the difference without a problem, go for it. What a difference there is between the deluxe and the value properties. I think Pop is cute and all, but the Swan room will be larger, the bed will be bigger (and infinitely better on your back since they have the new heavenly beds which are the best beds I have ever slept on), and the location is phenomenal. The Epcot area resorts are my family's favorites. We love the BWI best, but the Swan is beautiful. You can walk into Epcot and MGM! Or take a short boat ride.

No comparison here. It really isn't fair to compare a value with a deluxe because there are too many differences.

I'm not sure of your length of stay, but why not split the two? Just do the Pop first because once you get to the Swan, you won't want to leave!!!

Do you want all that cash to throw around in the parks, or do you want the superior location and bigger/nicer room?

That's really what it comes down to.

To us, the Swan/Dolphin are the best hotel location in all of WDW. You got a great price, I would take it! :wizard:

The Swan! We stayed at the Dolphin this summer and you cannot beat the location! It is so much fun to have the Boardwalk so close so if you want to skip the parks for an evening you can just walk over there and enjoy the restaurants, shops, rent surrey bikes, and just soak up the Boardwalk atmosphere.

Another vote for the Swan or Dolphin!

Great location, nice transportation via the Friendship Boats to Epcot and MGM, awesome room service menu and so many restaurant options, at the resort as well as the surrounding area (Boarwalk Inn and Yacht/Beach Clubs.)

The Grotto Pool which is shared by both the Swan and Dolphin was voted "most lush and exotic" by Disney Magazine a few years back!

A rate of $157 inc. taxes and fees is great. Take the Swan hands down. You cannot compare POP to Swan.

I love POP, and I love the Dolphin (right across from the Swan--I've stayed at the Dolphin twice and POP once but not at the Swan), but I agree there is no comparison. The location of the Swan/Dolphin is just amazing--so close to Epcot, it's like you're staying in the middle of a park! DH and I just love the location.

It all depends on your priorities. Do you want to be walking distance to Epcot? If so, stay at the Swan. Do you have small children and therefore are more likely to spend a lot of time at the MK? You will probably be perfectly happy with POP.

Sorry, never been to either, Can you still charge purchases to room and have early entry to the parks with swan and dolphin? I am trying also which to decide either Pop or swan/dolphin. Which is better swan or dolphin??
