Driving myself crazy, help me: POP or SWAN???

Sorry, never been to either, Can you still charge purchases to room and have early entry to the parks with swan and dolphin? I am trying also which to decide either Pop or swan/dolphin. Which is better swan or dolphin??

Hi,

You cannot charge back to your room from the parks to the S/D. You can use your S/D room key to charge back to your room from anywhere on the S/D resorts.

You are eligible for EMH and you have access to Disney Transportation. You can also have packages delivered back to your resort from the parks while staying at the S/D.

Which is better the Swan or the Dolphin? We like the Dolphin but I think it is just a matter of personal opinion.

We spent one night at POP since we arrived a day early for our OKW ressie. POP rooms have 2 double sized beds, but are actually somewhat "roomy" compared to other budget style hotel rooms. Not a lot of amenities, though. The food court was good, though I think for an extended stay I'd get pretty tired of it, we enjoyed it for the one night.

For the difference in price, it really depends on what type of vacation you want. POP is a good, basic, hotel. It is spread out, has one food area and shop, and a single bus stop...so if walking is a concern, you may want to go with Swan or Dolphin.

But, if you're the type of vaationer that spend little time in your room, or even not much time at the resort, POP would be fine. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, yet basic.

As someone else has mentioned, the OP hasn't told us his family situation.

We have a DD (4) who is in LOVE with POP. We have stayed at Swan also, but our DD prefers POP. For her (and for the cost savings), the enjoyment far outweighs the inconvenience.

The POP food court is, IMO, one of the best at any resort (value to deluxe). The pools are fun and the rooms are clean and roomy enough.

If it was just my DW and I, we would definitely do the Swan. However, depending on your situation, POP may be just as good plus leave a lot more money for souveniers.

After staying at POP, I can tell you it's a no brainer - either Swan or Dolphin, and I haven't stayed at either one of those!

Rooms are bigger, it's a real hotel, the location is INCREDIBLE, and I've heard nothing but rave reviews.

I also will say that $77 a night at POP is really high, to me. I think the other rate is a GREAT rate for a deluxe at Disney, and you can get a lower rate at POP at another time.
