Driving licence QuestionI

IF by some chance i cannot locate the green paper bit of my Driving licence how do i go about getting another and will it cost alot? I`ve put it somewhere safe, but a little too safe......

I found this on the DVLA website for you..

If the last licence we sent you was the old style paper licence and this has been lost, stolen, destroyed or defaced you must apply for a photocard licence by completing both the D1 application form available from most Post Offices. These should be sent to us with the appropriate fee, a recent passport size colour photograph and the appropriate identity document(s) to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AB.

Whoops, should have mentioned that i have the new photo one as i swapped to use this as id in states instead of passport. I have the id card bit in my wallet but unsure where other is..

If your photocard and paper counterpart have been lost, stolen or destroyed and provided none of the details on your licence have changed or are incorrect, you can apply for a duplicate licence by telephone using a credit or debit card. DVLA accepts Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard and Switch. To use this service ring 0870 240 0009 between

Monday to Friday 08.00 - 20.30
Saturday 08.00 - 17.30
OR

You can complete driving licence application form D1 (previously D750) and enclose the appropriate fee.

Last time I looked (when I had to replace my stolen licence a couple of years ago) I think it cost £17.
