Here is my plan: (Subject to change;) )

THU. Leave Massachusetts at 6:30 pm stop in NJ for the night.
FRI. Leave NJ around 7am. I am guessing hitting DC around 10:30am (is this a potential problem)

Travel all day. Stop around 10 or 11pm at the top of FL or GA!

SAT. Continue to Disney:banana: Enjoy the day by the pool!!!

I am leaving on thu. night to avoid traffic in Bos., Conn. and NY.

I figure if I can get that out of the way, It is smooth sailing. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that there are no accidents which may cause traffic.

Has anyone done this route? Care to share your experiences?

Thank You!!!!!

Done this route many times. DC around that time is not too bad.

Now my suggestion,

If you leave a little earlier, like around 4:30 you could actually make a 1/2 way point of like Fredericksburg or Richmond and stop for the night. Then continue on in the morning and actually make WDW and aviod the extra night on the road. This way you can use the money saved on those two nights (down and back) on a nice meal or two at WDW.

Depending on where in MA you are starting, you can make this journey in 2 11 hour drive segments (I do it in 1 20 hour shot, but that's me)

I prefer to hit the major traffic points at night. I usually hit NYC at between 9 and 10pm, DC around 12 to 1am, be at SOB aroung 8 to 9am and so forth. These times usually avoid heavy traffic.

Consider I895 thru Baltimore, I495 around DC and use I295 around Richmond. Where you don't seem to have a problem driving long stretches, break your trip into 2 11-12 hour segments.
