Looking for advice from anybody who has driven from Western NY to Orlando! According to mapquest, it takes 20 hours, 19 minutes from Rochester. When you figure in an overnight stay somewhere and rest stops, how long did it actually take?
Also, are there any rest stop areas that you recommend? Any other tips or suggestions?
We are driving in August with my 2 girls, the longest they have been in a car has been about 2 hours, so I am a bit nervous, but with plenty of activities to occupy them I think they will be fine
Thanks!

. There are plenty of places to stop along the way. If you are going to stop for the night, we have stopped just north of Charlotte. I think we also made a stop in Beckley, WV one year. If you want to do most of the driving the first day, drive to Savannah, GA. It's a short (compared to 1st day) drive to the world. The only part of that route that I hate is Rt. 19 in West Virginia. It's the worst 60 miles of the trip.
