Driving from Tampa to Disneworld - Sunpass?

I'll be flying in and out of Tampa in August, and I don't know anything about the toll roads down there. It is my understanding that that my Pennsylvania EZPass won't work down there. I don't plan to rent the SunPass from the rental car agency because that seems like a waste of money, but I want to make sure that I can pay cash on any roads that I'll be on between Tampa and DW. Thanks in advance for any info you'd care to share. (That should be "Disneyworld", of course. Sorry.)

There aren't any tolls between WDW and TPA.

There are some toll roads near Tampa, and some in Orlando as well, so if you are going to some other places in these areas and not just going directly from TPA to Disney property and back again, you might still encounter tolls.

However, all of the toll roads/bridges near these two cities currently DO take cash. Right now all of the electronic-only stretches are in the Miami-Dade area.

actually there IS an all electronic toll road in Tampa but unless you go exploring or get lost - really lost - you won't get anywhere near it.

Be aware that some exits from Osceola Parkway and the Greenway (in the WDW area) require exact change or Sunpass, they are unattended during some hours. Carry quarters if you take these anywhere.

Just to reassure the OP, you won't be going on any toll roads driving from WDW to TPA. The examples cited by the PP are correct if you are going elsewhere in the area.

If you just stick to I-4 you won't have any tolls to deal with.
