Driving from NJ with a 4 month old, are we crazy?

We are thinking of driving to WDW from north NJ in September. DD will be 4 months old at the time. Are we crazy? Any advise?

How does she do on long drives now? She might sleep through the whole thing.

First, happy congratulations on your new addition.

Second, no, I don't think you're crazy. Assuming she'll be on a fairly normal eating schedule, you'll have no problems. Most babies sleep very well in a moving car. In fact, many parents take their cranky babies on car rides to calm them down.

She'll probably sleep through most of the trip.

aside from stopping for feedings (if you're nursing), I'd say now is going to be easier than it will be ever again! Itty bittys like that could very well just sleep the time away on such a long trip whereas the older they get, the more alert they will be and want to just get out of that seat! Do it now!

She is really good in the car (knock on wood) now, normally just falls asleep. The longest we have been in the car so far is about an hour

My ds hated the car when he was a baby but we traveled with my two older children (twins) and took trips down to florida all the time. If you have enough time to make frequent stops and won't be rushed it sounds doable. Just be careful because she is young and Sept is extremely hot and humid. Enjoy.
