Hi all!

One month and 2 days to go.... yippee!:Pinkbounc

For those who have driven before from this area, do you always take the 1000 Island Bridge I-81 route and have you tried the
I-87? I have read (but unfortunately can't find the post) that it is shorter doing on the I-87? What is your experience...

Thanks

Re: Montreal Route - I-81 or I-87

Probably the most direct route is I-87, as this way you can get from NJ to Norfolk, VA in no time via Rt 13 (the "secret" short-cut that few seem to know about), and see the spectacular Chesapeake Bay Bridge (but not for the faint of heart) en route.

You could also spend the morning of day 2 on your trip sightseeing around Manhattan if you're so inclined....can't do that via I-81!!!

Any more ???s, feel free to ask!

Hi! We are also driving down to Orlando end of July. This will be our first time-so I really don't know what to expect. We know we have the 2 routes that we can choose from. I guess the one from Thousand Islands may be a bit longer in terms of mileage but isn't it the preferred route of those who want to avoid I95 as long as possible. Though I relish a more direct route, I don't want one that will end up being stressful. Does anyone have their personal favourite route from Montreal to WDW?
And Jersey Shark, now you've piqued my curiosity-what did you mean by "not for the faint of heart"?

Thanks.
