What route, there are probably hundreds of roads between KY and Orlando. :confused3

Usually you will find the major gas companies most everywhere. I am not sure you will find Speedway, but you will find Shell and BP.

If you have a Smart phone it will help find gas stations.

Drove from Western KY to Ocala on Friday. Didn't really pay attention to what gas stations there were but did notice that gas prices were great (as low as $3.09 but generally around $3.19) along the way. There were a couple of limited areas where prices were higher, so don't let your tank get so low that you get caught paying higher prices. I'll try to pay closer attention on the return trip next week.

If you use Google maps, put in your city. Then hit "Search Nearby" Then put in Gas Station. Then drag the map from your city to where you are headed and all of the gas stations should pop up along the map route as you go and you can see what is at each exit. HTH.

According to Shell's website, there are 75 stations within one mile of the route from Louisville to Disney, and 33 more within two miles. You can find them on their site. If you put your origin and destination it will tell you about all of the stations along the route and then you can send it to PDF so that you can print it and know where all of the stations are.

I'm not sure about BP or Speedway along the way. I know here in Florida we have plenty of Mobil's, BP and Racetrac's.

why does it have to be Shell? You getting reward points? to me gas is gas, it all comes from the ground. also most GPS units show you stations along the route.

I have both Marathon and speedway cards. Your last Speedway will be at exit 25 in Kentucky along I-75. I then start stopping at Marathon. The last Marathon is exit 112 in Georgia. Other than that you will find Shell,Bp,Citgo,Chevron,Mobile and many others. This info collected from Dave Hunters"Along I-75 15th addition. This book stops at Florida border. I normally just stop at Hess in Florida but it is my understanding there will no longer be Hess stations.

Try gasbuddy.com and use the trip cost calculator. It will tell you where you will fill up then you can go to map view to see what stations are available.

What do you mean by there will no longer be Hess stations?

Stop by your nearest Cracker Barrel and pick up the newest edition of the "Next Exit" travel book ($15). I have owned one since 2008 and it is priceless for our yearly travels from Ohio to Walt Disney World through the Interstates.

The "Next Exit" tells what is at every single exit off of every Interstate in the United States. Huge benefit to folks who like to drive instead of fly. You will know exactly what is at every exit before you decide to exit including all gas stations, Walmart Supercenters, Cracker Barrels, Chick-Fil-A, McDs, malls, shopping centers, hotels, etc. to help you plan your stops.

Safe travels!
:yay:

From Louisville, the last Speedway is in Bowling Green, KY. I believe there is a new Speedway between Nashville and Murfreesboro, TN along I24, but am not definite as Speedway is moving into the TN market.

We did the Kroger gas card deal for extra points and bought a mix of Shell and BP cards. BPs seemed more difficult to find. Shell seemed overly expensive at some exits. We stopped in GA at an exit with a Pilot and a Shell, Pilot was .30 a gallon cheaper.

I'll just stick to the Gasbuddy app and not limit myself to any particular chain, it's easier that way.

Yes do understand that but the gift cards will be free as in free gas so I want to make the right choice when I get them from the bank.

If you are planning on getting BP and Shell gift cards go to their websites and see if they show locations. I know Speedway does this.

Right, but it may be better to get the gift cards for local driving, freeing up the cash for gas on the trip so you are not forced to use a certain chain, saving more money in the long run. Just a thought.
