Hi!

We will be driving from Colorado to Texas in May to go down to the San Antonio area for a long weekend mini vacation.

Is there anything to see on the way. You know, the worlds biggest frying pan or something along those lines? I think the kids would get a kick out of seeing things like that.

Thanks!

Where in CO are you leaving from? What do you consider "fun" and "interesting"?

If you're coming down through New Mexico, Carlsbad Caverns is absolutely worth a stop, and Caverns of Sonora are fantastic.

It will go something like this.....grassland, flatland, farm, gas station, repeat, repeat, repeat........... :rotfl:

Hopefully, you have DVD player! I do think the world's largest gopher is along that way somewhere :goodvibes --are you going trough Kansas and OK or NM and TX panhandle?

Good luck!

There are those Cadillac's planted nose down just west of Amarillo. That's good for about half an hour. What part of Texas are you heading for? Pretty much there is absolutely nothing between Cimarron, NM and Amarillo, TX. Not much other than oil wells between Amarillo and Ft Worth. It's a rather boring drive.

no kidding - when they say "absolutely nothing" through that part of New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle, they mean absolutely nothing as in not even a radio station. Definately bring your own music.

It really depends on how far off the Interstate you want to go.
