Driving from Chicago the week before Easter...

Done this many, many times, but never during the holidays.. I hear a lot of talk about the traffic on I-95, is traffic ever a problem on I-75 and I-24 over the holidays??? On the way down, we are leaving on Friday, April 2 and driving straight thru.. On the way back, we are spending Friday, April 9 at the parks until 6:00 and then driving for about 5 hours...And finishing the last 12 hours off on Saturday, the day before Easter..

We have driven I-75 down to Disney a number of times. The worst days are Thursday-Saturday before Easter. I can think of a lot of horror stories. The worst area seems to be in Atlanta -- traffic jams everywhere. I think you will be fine going the week before all of Michigan hits the roads.
