Driving from Carlsbad to LAX

We will be driving from Carlsbad to LAX (Alamo Rental car) an I was wondering how much time should I allow for traffic, rental car return, etc. to make a 2:15pm flight? This will be on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the 28th.
