Hi all, another newbie here, looks like a great site with loads of useful information. Am heading with my little princess aged 4 to DLP in May. I will be driving from Beauvais Airport to DLP and have the route directions from another website and was wondering (i) does anybody have any expereinces of driving this route and would you have any tips, e.g. where not to get lost..etc..(ii) also what would you recommend for a 4 year old to especailly see while there, (iii) also what character meals would you recommend, she loves Snow White...

Thanks YOBR

Hi I'm new to the boards also

We spent New Year at DLP and had a fab time with our kids (4&7) We also fly into Beauvais but despite having a map and printed directions from RAC,Michelin and routemaster the journey that should have taken 1hr30mins took over 2hrs:mad: the return journey was no better we ended up driving along the side of the runway at cdg:sad2: I would definatley hire, beg, borrow or steal a tomtom next time, much cheaper than divorce.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and each morning various characters were about for photos including Snow White (Neige Blanc) and Dopey.

Our dd(4) liked most of the rides in Fantasyland best apart from Snow Whites Scary Adventure which scared both kids. I could go on for ages about what a great time we all had.

Hey! Great to see you both here and welcome to the DIS :goodvibes . I'm going to pop this over to the DLP forum where I know you'll get some great advice from the knowledgeable and friendly bunch over there, but please do join us on the UK Community board where you'll both receive a very warm welcome.

Hello to YOBR and K&C, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

YOBR, as wideeyes said there is a new Princess character meal just started, check out this thread here, and there are reviews of it on here. :goodvibes

Are you hiring a car?

I have booked flights to Beauvais in July and was planning to get a private Taxi approx 270 Euro return for the six of us. Is getting a hire car cheaper?

I quite like the idea of not having to drive, but then again I like driving and have done the Chunnel to DLRP trip before (very easy trip).

I drove from Beauvais to DLP in FEB. Took the toll road A16 out of Beauvais ( approx €4.00.) and followed signs to CDG airport. Then picked up signs for Parc de Epositions de Paris Nord and then signs for Lyon. After a short while DLP is signed via the A4. Found this much easier then trying to follow autoroute or multimap routes which seemed to advise a very complicated
route.

Journey took approx 1hr 40mins. Coming back followed signs to Amiens and while this took me a completely different route journey time was the same although roads were much busier at that time. 3 day car rental was £75.00.

If you are in no great rush the drive is no problem and even allowing for the odd mistake it should be less than 2 hrs. Hope this helps
