Driving down to Mickey's for Christmas!

I would have to the be uncool mom like you...no way you are doing anything but jumping in the puddles FAR AWAY from where the ocean is supposed to be!

Yeah for mil and car...I would be praying my mil was still stuck somewhere!:rotfl2:

I see today you are at the 3 month mark...time to celebrate with a picture!

Wow, looking at your pictures I cannot believe how badly your neighborhood was hit :scared1: So thankful that all of your family was safe! How is everything looking now a week later? We still have lots of trees down but I think most everyone I know has gotten their power back. I know you probably love living by the water but then hate when things like this happen. We used to live about a 5 minute walk to a dock when we lived in Annapolis and when we were looking to buy a house we thought we wanted to be on the water. We came so close to buying this terrific house on the Chesapeake, but thankfully on a visit to show my in laws the house we saw what happens after a storm, the back yard was underwater. Needless to say we decided to find a place a little further away:rotfl:

Hoping that all is well and you are just taking a long much needed weekend break!

Just checking in again. You have been quiet now for almost 3 weeks.... I really hope all is well and that you got that trip upstate and that your son starting school has just made you busy.

Sure are missing you...we have got to get this computer fixed!

I have been worried too! So it is her computer? Ah... I must have missed that. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Oh my i am FINALLY able to get back on a computer and not check everything from a tiny little IPOD screen. I haven't been on in awhile because the laptop screen stopped working- what I thought was a screen problem was really a graphics card problem, but DH bought a new computer for me and then took FOREVER to put in the Ethernet cable line for me to go on the internet because he's been super busy! I have not had the best time being off the computer though, some great things have happened and some well very bad things have happened! Damien's pirate day went great- I bought him a pirate costume that he wore to school and the teacher had the moms that came to help set up a pirate treasure hunt the the kids went all around the school for! We bought the cutest little puppy (about 2 weeks ago) and we named her Emily, she's a chocolate lab/pit bull mix that we adopted from North Shore animal league at only 7 weeks old-she's my profile picture on facebook right now I will try to upload a picture here soon (my facebook is Heather Belmore-Htun)! My little monkey started soccer and boy scouts and loves them both! And I pick up my car on Tuesday I think they said? Now for the not so good things.... the WORST thing that happened was about 3 days before we adopted Emily (the reason why we adopted her) I went on an impromptu trip to BJ's whole sale club with a friend in my car. I was supposed to really be home, but needed a few things and so did she and I haven't really had anytime with her since we have both been really busy! So when I came home I unloaded the car by putting all of the milk and meat into the fridge and the boxes into the living room to be put away later when I returned (I noticed that my friend left a few things in my car and I wanted to give them to her) so I drove around the block maybe 10-15 minutes and came home to sort everything out and as I'm doing so I wanted to listen to music, but the CD player in the kitchen is missing no big deal DH sometimes takes it to wok with him. I go to turn on youtube from the PS3 for some music and it's not there- now that's weird and I'm standing in my living room which is right off of the kitchen and as I'm dialing DH's cellphone to ask "what the heck???" I hear a slam I recognize as my back door..... Well I quickly call 911 and they come and give me 5 minutes to look things over in the house to see if anything else is missing and they wouldn't let me touch anything so I say nothing else. My husband came home after the detectives left (they found 2 fingerprints on the window that was broken into and they took pictures of everything) and starts to look around while I walk into Damien's room. I honestly don't pay attention to things around the house as much as I should because DH is missing his shotgun from the top of the attic stairway where we keep it with the ammo, anywhere from 20-25 PS3 games, my digital camera and just the other day I had went to grab a sweater and it's missing. Then Damien came home from school and we tell him to go take inventory of his room- well he lost 3 teeth that weekend and we had him wait to put them all under his pillow together so that morning he left his $10 tooth fairy money on the end of his bed where it was no more and his DSI and all of the games were stolen. The detectives said that I probably interrupted them when I came in the 2nd time and they might have even been there the first time with me but since I left they figured they had longer to stay and didn't anticipate me coming back home so soon. But honestly it didn't even look like anyone had been in my house because everything was just so neatly put away.... they had to move blankets in my closet to get to the attic and they put them back folded, the surge protector that they took the PS3 from was put back behind the entertainment center so no cords were sticking out, they even moved my trashcan back under the window that they came in after getting in. I am very thankful that they just left and didn't try to make things worse by hurting me or anything and I'm glad that they didn't make anything a mess because that would have been heck cleaning up and being scared all at the same time! They still have not found anything and there is only a 40% chance that they will come back in a few months (how fun for me that in a few months I will be in Disney and they will have a whole week to rob me!). So I am trying to get my DBIL to stay at my house with Emily while we are gone or maybe my mother in law? Anyway, the other bad thing that has happened is that only 4 days of having Emily she got very ill and just peed and pooped where she slept, she was just too tired and weak to move. So we bought her back and might be able to take her home tomorrow after our mandatory puppy training class!

Oh so long and mostly bad things that happened I keep telling Dh that we should move because we are not meant to be here- 1st our car and now this only a month after our car? I'm scared what will happen next!

I am going to try to get through everyone else's PTR within the next few days, I am so sorry that it took so long to get back on! Oh on a good note we have still been doing movie nights, but haven't been able to post them without a camera! And we are still counting down- I can't believe it we are almost at the 45 day mark!!!!! I need that break!

Oh goodness! I feel so bad for all that happening to you, but at least you weren't hurt in anyway. I had an aunt and cousin that were robbed a few weeks ago. They made an extra stop on the way home that they normally wouldn't make, and they came home to a trashed house. The guy must have been spooked before he finished because he had pulled all my uncles guns out onto the bed and loaded a pistol just in case i guess. So had they not made that extra stop there is no telling what could have happened.

I'm glad you and your family are ok. Stuff can be replaced.

Yeah the detectives took names of anyone that might know we had them or where they would be and questioned those people because the house was neat. They said that usually that's a person that you would know! Yes that is VERY thankful of your aunt and cousin to make an extra stop! I honestly don't know what I would have done if I saw them in the house!

Yes stuff can be replaced, I am kinda happy they took DH's PS3 though because he's been doing more work around the house----- how do you think I FINALLY got back internet connection? :lmao:

Heather...I am SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK and most of all I am glad you are safe! I can't imagine how violated you must feel in your own home and can understand how you want to move...but I also know how owning this home has been just an accomplishment for your family. Ashley is right that things can always be replaced, but not you or your precious family!

I can't wait to see a picture of Emily...I know when she gets bigger she will be a little more comfort for you at home. I know I feel safer even with my big worthless hunting dogs...just their barking makes me feel safer. Do you have a house alarm...I would think about getting a system that hooks into your cable if you have that. I love being able to set it when we are in the house or when my dh is away...just feels safer having it.

I am glad to hear that you have been keeping up on your movie nights...I am sure as always your food puts us all to shame. Sounds like the pirate day went off well too...aren't we about ready for a CARS2 birthday party?

How many days til your trip...I have lost track of when everyone is going...I need to make a list (all I know is today is 78 more days for me and I am the last of us to go).

How scary!!! I guess it is nice that they didn't destroy things in the process of their thievery, but... :sad2:

You so deserve this trip!!!

And congrats on the puppy!

Oh...and btw, yes.. I think you need to move. ;)

:lmao:I can tell you that Dh wasn't laughing when he found out about the PS3 and his games:rotfl2: I know that's mean, but hey when you become greedy with your playing time bad things will happen to you and I had explained this many times to him!
Yeah it's been about 2 weeks since it happened..... It happened on the 26th of Sept. So I was really scared to stand in front of the window that they came through to do dishes and cook and such, but I am getting better now! I have my moments but I face them and they kinda go away! Yes buying this house was a pain in the butt and then sticking up for the house when everyone questioned where we were moving to, now explaining that everything that has happened is just coincidence!
I am going to post a picture we took the day that we adopted her- I am sure that when I get a new camera your going to wish you didn't say that! She's a lab/pit bull mixed, but the lab side shows the most with her personality! And she's just as hyperas Damien! Well my husband's friend does alarms and we were trying to wait to get the alarm in until we repaired the house next year, but it looks like we are going to get it sooner. Everything will be in place by the time we get to Thanksgiving DH said! Yes the ones his friend does hooks into the phone line and we pay the fee for the people to monitor us every month. Plus I think that he said something about it being wireless just in case we ever get flooded here and the power dies!
Yes we were going to have a Cars birthday party on the deck and serve the food out of the kitchen window, but DH doesn't think it's a good idea since that's the window everything happened with... so we are going to buy the movie, but I'm going to just give it to him on of the nights that we stop off from driving to help him fall asleep in a new place. Now we are going to just take the kids (he has 15 friends in mind) to the pool that we got the membership to and have them swim and have cake and such. I am contemplating if I should serve food or just cake because the party would start at 6pm and they swim for an hour before they eat- Damien usually eats dinner by 5 or if we have practice he eats 4:30. and a little snack around 6:30 and bed by 7:30 so I am not sure if I should have pizza delivered or just have some snacks? I really wanted to do the Cars party for him though.... wonder if I keep talking to Dh about it???? Oh I'm not sure, Damien is up for anything!
We have 61 days until we leave for Disney and we have 63 days until we will be in Disney! I am so excited! The ticker is off by a week I need to fix that! YAY for almost making it to the 45 day marks!

How scary!!! I guess it is nice that they didn't destroy things in the process of their thievery, but... :sad2:

You so deserve this trip!!!

Oh...and btw, yes.. I think you need to move. ;)

Oh I wish you were my DH, and then we'd be out of here already! I want to move, but he keeps telling me it's just a coincidence and stuff so I have to somehow believe it and I do tell people that but don't always fully stand by what I am saying!
Really I would just like my memory stick back and my son's DSI because those things have his pictures on them! And I hate to think that whoever did it will know who I am when I talk to them and I have no idea who they are so I am kind and nice but really if I knew who they were I would gauge their eyes out with my pen I carry in my purse!
Thank you! Miss Emily I am happy to have her in the family!

Please meet Emily.... she's a chocolate lab/pit bull mixed and she's 7 weeks in this picture, but 8 weeks today. When I learn how to get the webcam working or I get another camera I am going to upload another photo of her! She's so hyper like Damien. When we got her she was always tired and ended up being really sick, but a few days with the Vet and coming home with medicine she still has a cold, but she's so much more active and perky! And I know that you are not supposed to, but I let her sleep with us because she's just too cute and makes me feel better!

OMG! She is so darn cute!!!! I want to snuggle her myself, so I can't blame you for letting her sleep with you. Pit bull? Crazy...but we would not be able to have her here as she would be illegal to own. :sad2: Stupid isn't it? Look at how precious she is!!!!!

I truly am having a moment here... she make me want a puppy. What is wrong with me??? I have too many cats and the last time we had a dog we (and I would have to say the dog) suffered 5 years. We loved that dog but he was an aussie and super super neurotic. When Zoe came around and we learned would be leaving him alone (with all her medical stays) we knew it was time for him to go since we quite literally could not leave him alone for 5 minutes or he would destroy anything he could in a blind panic. :sad2:

Ok..moment over...now I remember why we don't have a dog. Just don't show me any more pictures of your sweet little Emily. ;)

Emily is so sweet! Don't you just love puppies?! The Pit Bull part makes me nervous...of course it is because people around here literally breed for fighting (that makes me sad/mad) and I swear they breed for ugliness too! So glad she looks more like a lab...although that would make her a chewer for the next 2-3 years....:scared1:
