Driving down to Mickey's for Christmas!

Day 6- We are going to be leaving I know that much. As far as what we are doing I do not know. DH is still very much wanting to go to NASA. My son is on the line if he wants to go to NASA or not and for me I told DH that they have some things at Epcot that were designed by NASA engineers so they are just about the same. And we are going to visit Texas in the next few years so I know that Houston NASA is there and it's very kid friendly with adult stimulation as well. So we have 2 different plans for this day- I would like to just go to a character breakfast (either ohana or 1900 fare) and then to DTD (there are a few stores that we would like to get into) and then make our way to somewhere to eat like Earl's before heading to Georgia to spend the night with friends and make our way to NC and so on after this but no NASA. DH plan- get up early and get in a breakfast buffet (like Ohana or 1900) then he wants to head right to NASA, spend the day there and go back to another hotel for the night and food. Wake up spend the day at NASA and go to the lunch with an astronaut then after they close head to Georgia for the night and leave Georgia around 1pm or so then head like me to NC and so on.

If we don't go to NASA I would like to go to MVMCP on my animal kingdom day- so if this happens we are going to switch AK day with Epcot WS day so that we still have early EMH with AK, which would kinda be good because then we will separate the Epcot days! The only thing that will really change is that we would leave AK around 3:30 pm and not eat at Jiko's we would go back for showers and a nap and such. But I do want to eat at Jiko's and is it possible to tour AK by 3:30? And are any of the restaurants open on the nights of MVMCP? But we would get to celebrate the party with Mickey! I don't know.... something will work out! I am just so excited that I can start looking at what I want to do at what time and so on! And setting up a spreadsheet and everything! So any thoughts of anything?

Another option if you decide not to go to NASA is to go to legoland. I believe it is just a little south of orlando. Not sure if it fits in your budget or schedule.

Your movie nights are looking great. I am planning an alien double feature soon (ET and Men in Black)...google alien party ideas or space themed parties. I am finding lots of ideas!

I am going to try that and it's not too much pressure anymore because it's just me and Damien- we are having some friends over for the Lilo and Stitch one on Sunday I think.... But thank you for the tip, I am going to look up the space and alien party now!

My son has a monthly calender and I have just set up his June and I couldn't believe how much we have going on and that it's June already? I feel like April and May flew by while I had my back turned! We have kindergarten graduation, field day, some school trips, soccer season ending, soccer party and awards day, and I still have not fully decided what I really wanted- I have been thinking of adding/taking away a few places, and still I haven't come up with a summer learning program for Damien (I do this every summer to hit on some spots he has trouble with so that he's ready come the fall and he doesn't just forget everything)! I am just looking forward to it, but...
We make ADR's on June 6th!

:banana:I am so excited! :cool1:

I am a little nervous about my June 6th honestly! I guess that I shouldn't be though we aren't going when it's busy and we aren't really going to that many places we have to worry about.... although, Boma where we are going to go sounds like it gets a bit busy because it's good-well everyone says they are I have never been!

I'm trying to get caught up on all my reading but these dang thunderstorms keeps making me have to unplug my computer so I have to make this quick and I didn't get a chance to wait for all the pictures to load. But anyway, I love your theme movie nights, you're such a fun mommy. It makes me wish my kids were little again so I could do things like that with them, I did other things but never disney, I always thought Disney was too expensive and never even checked into it because of that and by the time we did take our first Disney trips my kids were 12 and 14. It's funny cause we weren't even planning Disney but our cruise plans fell through when their Bio Dad refused to sign papers for me to take the kids out of the country, Disney ended up being cheaper and we got 2 extra days out of it. I kick myself alot for not looking into Disney sooner, they would have loved it I know and I would have been able to brainwash them early, by the time we went they had control of their own brains and thought Disney was just Meh:confused3

Anyway I love reading your Disney theme updates and I think that your plan to reveal Disney to your DS is great.

Thank you about the movie nights! I can't take any credit from them though because I borrowed all of the ideas from everyone else! I wish I had more kids so that I would do more (I feel weird making a whole big thing for just one little monkey!)! I never thought Disney would be doable for us either and we are only going because Damien kept hounding us about it so I finally put in the info and went from there! I never realized how many discounts they give out and everything else!

Don't worry about catching up.... we have a little over 6 more months to do so!

Thank you! I hope that it works and I can keep my mouth shut about going sooner! I think that instead of just saying it came in the mail it will be more believable (because this kid questions everything) if we do doorbell ditch!

But thank you and I hope that you and your family are staying safe i the storms!

I was just catching up with everyone else's PTR's and commented...... look at my ticker look at my ticker!!! I let out a little yelp, only half a year until we go now! Oh I'm very nervous about making the ADR's and that day (June 6th) is going to be a really busy day!
1- Monk has a field trip that I have signed up to go on without remembering the date until I marked it on the calender.
2-He also has a birthday party at 5pm to 6:30pm for a soccer friend.
3-Then it's my other niece's 2nd birthday and my SIL's birthday so we are having a webcam party at my MIL's (my SIL will be there in person with all of the family that lives in NY and on the webcam my MIL will set it up where she is visiting right now in Idaho with that side of the family there! They will both have cakes so we will sing happy birthday and talk and then go eat- we did it for the last 2 years because my MIML always goes there for Kali's (my niece) birthday since she was born).

And all of that's going to be after getting up at 5:30am to make reservations. I am going to try to make ADR's the same way another PTR writer did it- she started on the internet to make them, then at 6:59 called the phone line to finish up the call! I am just nervous I shouldn't be though I don't really have anything that is going to cause too much of a problem right? I think just F! will be a little hard!

I have to get my son to a play date (yes they did not use all of the snow days so he's home today and tomorrow!) and then I will come back and write about our very fun movie night we had this weekend!

So close to that ADR time for you! I am so jealous! :wizard:Sending you happy thoughts and wishes to get exactly what when and where you want! I am still 30 days out...need to tinker with my plans some more, but I just have not been very WDW motivated lately. Too much going on and always worrying about $$$.

Any movie nights lately? I have one I need to post about, plus an afternoon summer movie party planned tomorrow with the kids (a double Universal feature).

Isn't funny how quickly the ADR date has come up! My date is coming up fast too and I still don't feel ready to make that phone call! :lmao: Gotta love the stress of ADR planning! :rotfl:

I know I am nervous! Thank you for the happy thoughts though- they help! I have been so busy that today I got back on the internet since the weekend I think and thought I missed my ADR's date:scared1:! But it was okay lol! Monday though I'm going to be up at the crack of dawn with a pot of coffee and a fully charged portable phone:rotfl:! I feel your thoughts though for the planning, plus I didn't realize how busy life would be at the end of the school and soccer year! I have never been the only class mom and soccer coach at the same time and planning everything is just a little hectic! But it's making the long boring days feel better!

I am fixin to post a few things about the movie night that we had! I'm going to come over and read yours afterwards!

Oh I know it came so quick! I am just a little confused because Disney has not confirmed the definite dates of hours on their site- does anyone know if that tourist site is pretty good with the times? LOL I've never had that stress before, so it's all new to me! I need the vets help lol!

On Sunday we had a Lilo and Stitch movie night! Damien invited 3 of his friends (Brianna, Christopher, and Jarod) so that was really fun for him to play and have people to share it with- only problem is he thinks that someone can come over every time now:scared1:! This is a picture of the 4 of them (from left to right- Damien, Jarod, Chris and Brianna)

I don't have anymore pictures other than that because I didn't have time to take pictures- especially of the food!

When the kids all arrived we gave everyone a lei and a grass skirt to wear. For dinner we had taken some of the recipes from Ohana's (green beans, breakfast bread, and peanut dipping sauce) plus we had chicken and beef kabobs from the BBQ that I grilled up with the moms while the kids met (2 were from soccer and one from school) and played freeze tag! So we ate and drank from these tiki glasses I bought from the $1 store- for drinks we had water, mango juice, pineapple juice, and V-8 fushion juices. Then while the 2 moms helped me clean up the kids watched the movie and colored these wooden tiki signs when the movie was over we went to this website and looked up everyone's name, they all wrote it on the back of their tiki art. We then had that molten lava cake from the kraft website- VERY yummy and SO FATTENING and EXTRA SUPER messy (if you do this recipe though I used a packet of hot chocolate instead of the coffee because I didn't want my little hyper one to have coffee)! The kids LOVED them and ate some coconut and mango ice cream with it! Then we all went outside to play more freeze tag until they eventually started to head home! It started at 4pm and the last child left at 9:30pm my son had a really good time and the kids that came were bragging to other kids (the 2 that are on the soccer team that is) and the one- Jarod, that goes to school with Damien told his sister all about what she missed while she was with her friends! All in all it was great! The moms even enjoyed themselves!

Next up is Snow white and the 7 Dwarfs!

How fun this must of been for Damien to share his Disney Movie Night with friends! I love the Tiki idea...going to have to go and search for these at the dollar store! The food sounds yummy, planning to check out some of Ohanas recipes for myself now!

Love the Lilo and Stitch night, we have one coming up too! What a great idea to invite friends, I may have the kids bring a friend or 2 and make it a luau!

Help....I need the recipe for the salad you made for Aladdin night...I am not finding any cous cous recipes that I am falling in love with!
