Hey all. I'm not sure this is posted in the right spot or not. But we are leaving this Thursday to drive down to WDW. Has anyone driven from PA to WDW recently and can tell me how much construction there was? We are taken this trip as out first long distance Tesla road trip so we are trying to plan if we want to go around DC and get on 95 right after it. We know which chargers we are most likely stopping at but any updates on construction would be appreciated. TIA

If I were taking a Tesla I would avoid 95 until Virginia... especially if you splurged for the new version of autopilot as this will do great on the open highway -- the standard version or older version would be useful as well on open roads... I was thinking of buying a Tesla for this very reason but I am not liking the idea of the charging stations and waiting to use it...The ones we have locally have traditionally been used as parking spaces for the older upper model tesla's being they included unlimited free charging but I read Tesla will soon fine them for leaving the car. Count me in when a hybrid or gas car has something as good as the new Tesla auto pilot.. I would be curious to know how it goes...

Current state of I-95 construction can be found here and should allow you to plot your journey with the info you already have for charging:

Thanks for this link! It's going to help a lot.

We've had no problems charging. There were some gas cars in electric chargers but I've never seen an electric car sitting in a charger spot not being charged. And superchargers only take about 30-45 minutes depending on how much battery you have left and how full you want to charge to.
