We will have a car while we are at WDW next month. We are staying at the CBR. I've already decided that we will be driving to the parks every day instead of taking the bus. In the evenings we have several dinners planned at the other resorts -- Contemporary, Animal Kingom Lodge, and Wilderness Lodge -- and I am trying to find a map that shows all the resorts. Can anybody point me in the right direction? TIA!

You can ask for a map when you check in at your hotel. And just keep careful watch for the roadsigns as you're driving. We only got lost once because we missed a sign.

Thanks guys! Now I see how close we are to Epcot and MGM! We may take the bus to those parks. I still think we oughta drive to MK and the other resorts, though.

I would take the bus to MK. The bus drops you off right near the entrance instead of having to go to TTC and take a monorail or boat to MK. Much faster. There are lineups for the buses but then there are also lineups to get out to TTC too.

When we were at CBR in 2003 we found it simplest to take the bus to and from the parks. At the end of the day we tended to go back to CBR have a swim and then drive to dinners at the other resorts.

We had one last year, and we loved it! We were able to come and go as we please. I love to drive so I wasn't nervous about driving in strange places. I think its wicked easy and well marked driving around WDW property! You'll have no problem! Have fun!!!

Personally, I'd drive anywhere that I could around WDW. You are not tied down to any sort of schedule and you can come and go when you want to. We normally stay at one of the Epcot resorts, so we walk to Epcot and boat over to MGM. We definitely drive to MK and AK. The routes are really well marked with signs, so you really won't get lost down there.

I also like having a car. It's so convenient, however I wouldn't drive to MK. That's one park I take the bus to because the bus stop is right at MK gates, meanwhile if you drive you have to park at TTC, then take a monorail/ferry to MK.

Thanks for the tips, guys! I especially appreciate the info about MK. I wouldn't have known that if not for y'all! This board is great!

I found another awesome map by searching Google. It is a PDF file so you can zoom in. Very helpful! My trip is still over three weeks away but I am studying my turn-by-turn directions now!!! Here's a link for anyone else who may be interested. Click on the detail map (green) near the bottom of the screen.

VickiL, that's the same map (except for color differences) that's in the "Your Handy Guide To All The Magic" booklet that you can get at your hotel.
