Hi all. Any tips for driving around the world? We're staying offsite this trip (and also staying at POR).

From MCO, we'll be going straight to DTD, then popping over to our resort (Westgate, just south of AK), then going over to the Kissimmee Walmart and back.

Then, we'll be hopping from one park to another. Any back roads that you take to get from one place to another? Any routes to avoid?

THANKS! We've never driven in the world before- :scared1:

1. If you pay for parking at one park, keep your receipt. It is good for parking at any of the parks for the rest of that day.

2. Park hopping to/from the MK takes longer. Parking is at the TTC, so you'll need the monorail or ferry to get between the entrance to the park and the final tram stop. Plan accordingly.

3. If you got your tix through AAA, get a Diamond pass from AAA. You get better parking at Epcot and AK (not so much at MK and DHS).

4. We never had any problems driving between parks, so I have no shortcuts to suggest.

There really are no shortcuts to get from park to park. Just follow the signs to each park. Travel to the parks are on the main roads.

Google "WDW road map" on their map section and you will have a Google map of all roads on property.

If you are staying at Westgate Towers or Westgate Vacation Villas just off of the Irlo Bronson Memorial Hiway (192), you can take Sherberth Road onto WDW property bringing you right to the Animal Kingdom. :thumbsup2

Have a great time.

Robert

When the signs say something is the next right, they really mean the next right.

I was expecting the next right to be 1/2 mile or 1/4 mile away and it would be right there. I spent more time driving around then I should have.

I told DH that's why I prefer to leave the driving to the WDW bus drivers. :rotfl:
