We are going to WDW in August and are driving this year. First time we've driven in about 11 years. We are planning on leaving on a Friday in the a.m. (I'm guessing about 6 or 7) and driving all day into evening. We live very close to I-65 so will hop on there in NW Indiana. Here are my questions: How far can we realistically expect to get on Friday (with just quick stops for gas and food)? Can anyone recommend a hotel off of 75? And with us getting up and out early on Saturday what kind of time frame am I looking at arriving at WDW? I'd like to make ADR's for that night but don't want to cut it too close or give myself too much time. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks! :teeth:

hi! If your kids are good travelers you could make it to Perry, GA in about 14-15 hours. However, you'll probably hit Nashville around noon and Atlanta around rush hour leaving at 6 am. We've done that!

The last two years we've left the evening before (around 5) and driven straight through. One good night of sleep in Orlando, and we're recovered and ready to go.

We have a minivan and so I or dh sleeps when the other is driving. Our kids travel well and we have a dvd player in the van. I highly recommend that or gameboys, etc. for entertainment.
