Hi,

I thought I would ask the experts on this board for their opinion on this conundrum!

We are staying at AKL Jambo House and have an 8 a.m. ADR at CRT on a Saturday We like to be outside MK at 7:30 to get in the ADR line.

If we drive to TTC then we have to deal with voyage over Seven Seas Lagoon via resort monorail, or possibly the ferry. But we would be able to leave AKL on our own schedule.

If we take the Disney bus we have to deal with the anxiety of it's schedule and making it on time. That being said - it does drop you off right at the MK.

We plan on leaving the park by noon - 1 p.m and heading back to resort so we don't care if it is car or bus on the way back. What are your thoughts on which would be the less stressful start to our day?

Thanks!

Consider taking a cab to the Contemporary and then walking over to the MK. Will cost a little, but it will allow you to avoid the TTC/parking issue and still have the convenience of leaving on your own schedule. Might be worth it. :)

drive, that early you'll find good parking spot @ MK. would leave AK shortly after 6:30 am to meet your 7:30 am requirement.

AK has gotten better as to overall bus service but after waiting a long time and nearly missing ADR for park opening (due to long bus lines) now drive it when we have to be there by a certain time.

we've used uber often, not sure if that time frame would be surge pricing.

To me, this is the least stressful route. You can sleep in a bit longer, and won't have to stress about if a bus is coming soon or did you just miss one.

We've had a pre-park ADR every year. We always take the bus without issue.

Keep in mind that taking a cab to the Contemporary will save you about 20 to 25 minutes, but it will cost $30 to $40.

It shouldn't be anywhere near $40. The most I have spent getting around WDW by cab is $25. And that includes a few trips from the All Stars.

The OP is coming from AKL, which is about 1-1/2 miles further than the All Stars. The average fare from AKL to the Contemporary is $30, plus tip. It's pretty much the longest trip you can take on Disney property.
