Drive from WDW to Vero

Hi There

Is there a "best" route to take?

Is there anything interesting to see or do along the way?

Any good shopping centers / outlet malls along the way?

or....is it boring and best to just drive straight through?

We drove the beach route once and it seem like it was mostly the back-side of sand dunes.

The fastest driving directions - no tolls:
Take Hwy 192 East to
I-95 South to
Exit 156 (Fellsmere/Sebastian) CR-512 East to
Hwy US 1 South to
CR-510 East to
A1A South to
resort on left 1/4 mile.

Along the way on Hwy 192, you can stop and "see" Reptile World, it will be on your left in Kissimmee.

Get on 95 south. There are a couple of exits off of 95. Just do a map quest. It's a very easy drive into the resort.

Thanks for the advice...we are doing the opposite direction in December...Vero to WDW. I drive my family crazy trying to find great food dives or weird places to eat. On this drive have you ever stopped at Squid Lips or half way to WDW...Fat Boys BBQ (St. Cloud?)? Will take any other recommendations along 192.....

We've been to Squid Lips several times and the last time I wasn't too impressed. The time before was New Years a couple years ago and loved it. We prefer Captain Hiram's, love sitting outside there. I've been by Fat Boys many times but never ate there.
