This weekend my friends are taking me out and have decided to buy me a few drinks. Being that I am not much of a drinker I don't really know what all is out there and what I would like to try. I do like the more sweet drinks like a Blue Hawaiian or Strawberry Daiquiris.

What do you suggest I try?

Appletinis are good (tastes like apple jolly rancher) as are cosmopolitans (very Sex in the City trendy). You'd probably like margaritas (like a slurpee with a kick)

Hey, chell! :)

If you get a chance, check out this website for some fun drinks! http://www.drinksmixer.com/

I don't drink alcohol, but I fell in love with N/A Mango Tangos on our Royal Caribbean cruise. It's a combo of Pina Colada and Mango Daquiri, and it was amazing!

I love Cosmopolitans! & since it's made with cranberry juice, I think I'm being so good! (oh yeah - vodka is in it too - so maybe not too good for me!)

i'll give you some advice someone gave me in college.

Learn to love beer..it's cheaper.

hehehe

I have to second the appletini (but be careful - the sugary drinks give you the WORST hangover if you over do it!)

Raspberry martinis are good too if you like sweet drinks. They are really sweet, though, and I can usually only handle one.

My two favorite standards are Margaritas (on the rocks, not frozen) and gin and tonic made with Bombay Sapphire gin :drinking1

Beer is beyond gross in my book. Since they are buying I'm not worried about the price. ;)

Thanks everyone.

Margaritas keep being mentioned, I may have to try one finally.

I can (almost) never pass up a mudslide. I think they are like a shake with a kick to it.

Well, I like all the drinks listed, but let me give you a poem of advice:

Liquor then beer, in the clear
Beer then Liquor, never sicker

Oh, and get a RedBull for the next day. It will wipe out a hangover. :thumbsup2

Have a great time! You deserve it! :cool1:

Completely agree with you on this one. Everyone else tells me that it's strange for me not to like beer. But my DH says the only reason he likes beer is because it was cheap and readily available when he was younger.

ETA: No matter which drink you pick, be sure to drink a full glass of water before going to bed. Makes a world of difference in the morning. :thumbsup2

Amaretto Stone Sour - very good! Blue (something..its a vodka) and lemonade.

edited -> I think I remember the name...Blue UV and lemonade. Yum!

honestly - I was the same way...but I love me a cold beer now and then!

Gin and Bombay saphire gin with a lime...YUMMY

I love a good Malibu Baybreeze. But I am always up for an appletini or a tropical sunrise.

Nuts and Berries......I have gotten so many people hooked on this drink!!!!!!

I think it is made with Frangelica, Chambord, and milk. It is delicious!!!!
