I am planning my next WDW trip and this go 'round will be getting DDP, so I wanna do a show or two.

I think I remember reading somewhere that drinks (alcoholic) are included in Spirit of Aloha... is that right?

I tend to get details mixed up, so any help would be good.

Also, are they included at any restaurants with DDP, oh.. and are appetizers?

-Thanks, love you all.

I think the only places that serve free alcohol are Spirit of Aloha, Hoop Dee Do and Mickey's back yard BBQ.

Dinner shows are 1 price for everything, including alcohol.

As for other restaurants on the basic dining plan, appetizers are NOT included for adults. On the DxDP appetizers are included for everyone. Alcoholic drinks and tips are not included for any meal other than HDDR, SoA and MBYBBQ on any of the dining plans.

The DDP does not include an appetizer except at a handful of restaurants that have a 3 course prix fixe menu consisting of an appetizer, entree and dessert which can be ordered on the DDP.

Some table service restaurants have a "chef's menu" or "chef's favorites" or a similar named fixed price three course menu. It consists of a few choices for appetizer, entree, and dessert, and CAN be ordered on the basic dining plan. The restaurants that have this have it for both lunch and dinner.

The dishes are the lower cost ones on the normal menu and there can be NO substitutions at all, not even for sides. The signature dishes, for example the fillet at LeCellier, are not on this special menu, just some of the lower cost items.

So though the basic DDP does not include appetizers, at some meals you are able to get them by ordering from this special menu. Can get the menu paying OOP too, still no substitutions.

Here's an example of a prix fixe menu that you can order on the DDP:

This is the Le Cellier dinner menu that shows the prix fixe "Chef's Favorites" that includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. You choose one item from each category, but you cannot make any substitutions.

You can find prix fixe menus for Le Cellier at lunch, Les Chefs, and Nine Dragons on allears.net.
