Hi everyone! We are WDW vets planning a trip to DL for the first time in 15 years. I know at WDW we could bring bottled water into the park (pre-COVID). If I remember correctly, bringing in soda is a no! Is this the case at DL? With a party of 7 spending $4 for bottled water or $5 for a soda all day long, it really adds up! Getting some cases of water could be a huge money saver. Thanks for your help!

We brought water bottles and Gatorade no issues and we went in April. This was at DW though not sure if DL is different

While I havent been in the parks since June 2019, I have never had a problem bringing soda or water into Disneyland. I usually buy a 4 gallon of water and keep it in the fridge in my hotel room and refill a small bottle and then throughout the day use the free water refill stations in the parks.

For soda I do the same, buy a large bottle, keep it in my room and refill a small bottle.

As long as you are not bringing in glass bottles, you should be fine.

I like to freeze a bottle of water for later in the day.
Plus I like to bring individual packets of Crystal Light to flavor the water.
Not real fond of the taste of Anaheim's water.

Bottled water caps can vary in quality. I like to get the ones with heavy duty twist caps.

Also if I don't want to pack around extra bottles for the day, I will refill my bottle with the free water I can get at food counters.

Thanks for all of your suggestions! I didn't think it would be a problem, but if this past year and a half has taught me anything, it's to never assume anything!

I bring a filled Vapur water bottle with me to the parks and I never had a problem with it. Usually one bottle was enough to last me all day, although I did usually buy drinks to have with meals. Bringing water to the parks is not a big, unless it's a glass bottle, but if it's plastic you're totally fine. Also, there are water fountains around the park designed to be used to refill a water bottle.

Are metal reusable water bottles ok?

Yep! I was actually coming here to post just that. I've brought a metal insulated bottle sometimes (especially during the summer) and it's great. Fill it up with ice in the morning and then just add water/ice as necessary through the day. It's especially great when the temps in Anaheim are up and you truly need to stay constantly hydrated.

We always freeze water bottles overnight and bring them with us in a backpack, that way we have cold water all day :)

Here ya go:

Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for self-consumption, provided they are not in glass containers, do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors. Inform a Security Cast Member of any food items when you enter the park.

Yeah, though I think it's been answered, I would pick up a 20 oz. Coke Zero every morning at the CVS on Harbor and bring it in no problem. There's no issue at all doing that.

I'm confused as to why you think you can't bring soda into WDW? As long as its not a glass bottle you can bring it.
