*dons flame proof suit before asking*

Where are the best beers and drinks that have booze in them? Not much of a drinker but a girl does need something to plan for next trip

DH loved the beer stand in Germany. He could've spent the entire vacation in that pavilion. The margarita I had in Mexico was pretty tame, but the Matsunoma Lounge has some good stuff.

I like Dos Equis in Mexico, and Bass Ale in the UK. There are a few other good ones along the way, but those are my favorites.

Why do you think you would get flamed for asking that? Just curious.

Not sure about beers - DH will have to post to that - but I remember someone posting a picture that I just kicked myself over. We were there last month and I missed this - frozen lemonade and Grey Goose vodka in France....probably a good thing I didn't see it!

Blame the debate over kiddie menus, my mission is decent drinks

Good grief, I must have had one too many already, I thought your topic title was "Drunks in Epcot"

As for the drinks, I love the cider in UK too, which isn't technically a beer, well not to an English girl it's not!! DH likes pretty much any of the beers. Though Germany is a must do stop for him. They often have seasonal stuff there.

Hey, I thought drinking's fine in Epcot!

Dos Equis in Mexico (make sure to ask for a lemon wedge with it ... if you can believe this, they don't have lime there, but lemon is better than nothing)

Carlsberg in Norway (they have a beer cart)

Ichiban in Japan (we get this at the CS place there)

No beer for us in China -- break time :)

I think Germany tends to change its beers out. Get whatever "dark" beer they're serving at the time.

Get another dark beer from Germany to go for your walk through France & Italy, unless you're eating TS there.

England ... ahh! Start with a Harp, walk around, hug Pooh, shop, etc., then maybe share a Guinness with your SO.

Canada is Moosehead all the way, Baby!!!

I can't comment on mixed drinks in Epcot. I'd be passed out by two p.m. if I tried drinking mixed drinks around the world.

Cheers :)

My top vote is for the Margaritas in Mexico, the regular non-fruity flavored ones... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 When I'm feeling stressed in the "World" that's where I go.. :teeth: :teeth:

Second place is the UK for Bass Ale. I'm not much of a beer drinker but this is where I had my first Bass years ago and it's still my favorite beer. ;)

DH got the half yard and filled it every day with Bass Ale. Then we would walk to Mexico and I would get a margarita. That is how we finished our days in Epcot. :sunny:

We start in UK...into the pub, we usually grab the cheese platter with a harp and a guiness.

Then on to Canada with a moosehead and popcorn.

Then to Mexico with a frozen lime margarita.

We have been skipping Norway because they took out the good beer.

China...nothing

Germany...we go into the wine shop for tasting, I also get a Strawberry infused champagned drink in the wine store..fantastic. You can also grab a franzenkonner beer in the beer garden (not sure of spelling) it is fantastic.

Italy..wine tasting..maybe a shot of limoncello from the wine store.

US..nothing

Japan...saki tasting..try the unfiltered and the sparkling saki. Also try the premium extra dry, you will be surprised how well it stacks up to fine wine.

Morrocco...a Casa Beer of course.

France..a Kir Royal (champagne drink) and a the beer that is offered..can't think of name right now..but it is quite nice. Oh, and they also have a grand marnier frozen type drink that is absolutely fantastic.

Enjoy!

I always get a Fiesta Margarita in Mexico, and DH and I usually split a wine flight in Italy or Germany.

Do they still sell the foot long margaritas at the CS place outside Mexico? My DH and I drank one of those together from Mexico the Germany. It was fabulous, but I got a horrible brain freeze...

now here's a question I can answer. I did an around the world at EPCOT for my 21st birthday. Mexico has really good frozen margaritas that are pretty strong, which is interesting, because you can't taste the liquor in them. Norway has beer, then there's Japan that has saki and sweet plum wine (I warn you- this is not for everyone! the saki is served HOT, I mean like hot coffee hot). France has grand marnier/gray goose slushies. Italy has limincello (very good, lemon shot), england has a full bar. Germany has shots of goldschlager and apfel korn (very good apple shot). Morocco has tangierine and strawberry daiquiris made with bacardi 151.......have fun!

Side note: better to do this at night as during the day the sun can be a bit of a problem :sunny:

I have to second the fiesta margarita!!!! It is the best drink you can have in EPCOT especially if you are not much of a drinker!!! :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

I tried the fiesta margarita for the first time last month. I liked it, but think I would have like one of just a single flavor better. (Then I can try them all!)

In the UK, I had a pint of Boddingtons. Oh, so good. And getting harder to find around here in Chicago (at least it was for a while). It's a light-colored beer but has a similar consistency and creamy top as a Guiness (less bubbles).

We also had a bottle of George DuBoef Beaujolais Village (red wine) in France. It's only $7.99 at the Trader Joe's here and was $30 at WDW, so not too bad of a mark-up.

My sister had a beer in Germany, but sadly I missed out on that one (I was chasing down the margarita).

It is a pity that they don't have Ringnes in Norway anymore. C'mon, Carlsberg, that's Danish!

I need to try a fancy cocktail in France next time, as well as something from Italy and Japan.

Cheers!

Try the Rosa Regale in Italy. It's a sparkling rose and tastes like sweet champagne. Get it with the chocolate. They give you two pieces of really good dark chocolate; you eat one before you drink and one after. The chocolate cuts the sweetness quite a bit...very delicious.
