Hi,

After having read some reviews it seems drinks can soon add up throughout the day.

Is tap water drinkable over there?

Both my girls drink water mainly at home so if I were to take plastic bottles would we be able to refill them from the taps in our DLH room and is there anywhere in the park to refill them other than taps in the toilets!

Are you allowed to do this?

Many thanks

I often drank water from our hotels and it was fine.... :goodvibes

On some rides, there's water fountains in the queuing area (BTM and Phamtom Manor for example). BTM also has a fountain at the exit.

I'm sure there's other dotted around the park.

I have drunk water from the taps in the hotel when i have taken my medication etc and if DD needed a drink and we was fine.

I saw lots of drinking fountains scattered all around the park, they have smaller ones for the little ones to drink out of. I would say thats probably what we spent most of our money on, bottled water as my son had had a upset stomach so didnt want to risk drinking their water.

When we were there over New Years just gone, any of the water fountains we tried were disconnected, probably due to the freezing conditions and the risk of burst pipes!

We don't like the taste of the water nor think that filling a bottle after someone has wrapped their gums around the water fountain is very hygienic.
So much prefer to stick to bottled water :)

There is one in Liberty arcade which is usually working even when the others arent

The water in the hotels is fine - I take a glass to bed every night and often have another glass or two in the evenings and I've never had a problem.

I also meant to say earlier (but forgot to at the time) that the shop at the railway station, beside Disney Village, sells water and a lots more besides at fairly regular prices (as opposed to Disney prices).

Last week I was buying litre bottles of water from there at 1.20 Euros.

As well as the fountains in Liberty Arcade working, the ones inside Studio One do as well.

I use the hotel water for boiling for coffee and chocolates, but we don't drink it otherwise, only because one year we were all ill, since then we've used bottled water bought at the train station just to be on the safe side.

We don't use the fountains for the same reason as Cyrano, I'm probably a bit OTT when it comes to mouths but I've looked inside other people's mouths and it's not always nice. :scared:

OH tells about the amount of people who do not wash after visiting the toilet, so the thought of their hands on the fountain is another further incentive for us.

OT we'll be drinking bottled at WDW too ;)

Don't get me started on toilets, you wash your hands and then inevitably have to grab a door handle to get out. All entrance/exit doors should be automatic or open outwards. Sorry back to topic.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

I am ashamed to say i hadnt even thought about hygiene issues so I am glad i posted the question. :guilty:

I think I will fill bottles from the DLH but buy bottled water to drink in the parks rather than the fountains!!

Thanks again
