Hello everyone and thank you for such a nice welcome. I have just changed my reservation from a Standard to an Admiral Floor room at the Newport Bay Club and the difference was only €57 ( in 5 nights)..nothing compared to the benefits, and this is thanks to all of you because of the suggestions I found.

I was wondering if water is very expensive at the park or not ? Can you just ask for regular tap water ? Or do you actually have to drink bottled water.

Any suggestions regarding the drinks/beverages is greatly appreciated. My husband and I don't drink and we rearely drink soft drinks...( we could do it a couple of times just to make the girls happy..)
Thanks again,
Martina

I think water is about 2Euros a bottle from vendors in carts, not sure about in restaurants. Quite expensive but i've seen more costly!

Never asked for tap water tho sorry

A good tip (though one DLRP won't like) is to buy drinks at the newsagents in the TGV/Eurostar station as you pass by in the morning. You can get a large (1L maybe) bottle of water for the same as a small bottle in the parks. :thumbsup2

The baguettes from there are nicer than the ones in the parks, too. Shame...

Disneyland Park has water fountains where you can fill bottles up, but I'm not sure if they work all year round. It probably gets too icy in the winter.

Ah i forgot about these, yeah the one in the Main Street Arcade definitely works all year round (though it tends to get blocked up late in the day)

We have eaten twice at the Plaza Gardens, and both times had a jug of tap water - had to explain that we wanted tap and not bottle but no problems.

Thanks for your suggestions. I am taking plastic water bottle sto fill up, but I was wondering about having to purchase bottled water at the restaurants, since I will be using the couchers for meals, I do not know if drinks are included. I'll call the reservations dept and ask !
Thanks all !!

Just thought you might not be aware of this but the locals in France always buy bottled water and will not drink tap water unless its been boiled. The French tapwater is not as high standard as UK.
My family found out for ourselves when we were ill until we swapped to bottled water then we had no more probs.

We've refilled our water bottles from the drinking fountains in DLP many times & never had an health problem.

If you are asking for tap water ask for, l'eau du robinet . Most of the resturants will be happy to give you this, but as has already been mentioned the quality is lower then you'd expect in the UK.

Most of the water fountains in the parks are normally switched off at the beginning of November.

Hope this helps!

We drank tap water at the restaurants too...I couldn't get used to vittel, which if I remember right, was what they seemed to have everywhere...we didn't have any "issues" either....

Whenever we ask for water at the restaurants, we always have tap water, as I really don't like the taste of the Vittel bottled water.
By the way, you can drink the tap water everywhere in France without any health risk. The only problem you could have is the taste of it, because of the chlorine used.

That's why we stick to bottled water for drinking :)
