OK folks --- I know about the Monorail Drinking Trail and of course Epcot's World Showcase. Where are everyone's favorite watering holes?

Resort Watering Hole -
Used to be Outer Rim at the Contemporary. Now the Tambu Lounge/Bar at the Poly and Victoria Falls at AKL. I also love most of the pool bars on property.

Theme Park Watering Hole -
Tune-In Lounge at Hollywood Studios and World Showcase at EPCOT.

I do enjoy the ESPN Club bar when its not insanely crowded.

Ohhh so many to choose from....

Tambu at the Poly gets my vote too! Wonderful theming and can be a quiet place to make a pit stop mid-day.

Huge fan of the Bellvue Room at the Boardwalk. Very richly designed. Plays old time radio shows inside and a terrific balcony to meet with friends outside.

Muddy Waters at POR gets my vote too. It is right off the pool, but slightly secluded unless you sit at the one end next to the pool. You can catch a game or just sit with friends.

Tambu at Poly
Vic Falls at AKL- love the atmosphere!
Cali Grill- enjoy just having a drink in the lounge and taking in the great view
GF lounge- great live entertainment

i had a few drinks on the boardwalk, but don't know the name of hte lounge- it was on a second floor, looking out over the boardwalk some and loved that view!

oooooh I'm writing these all down...

DH loves the Big River Grill and the Rose and Crown.

I enjoyed the Territory Lounge WL and Victoria Falls AKL. Can't wait to try the Turf Club Bar at SS :cool1:

I'm also excited to hear what they are gonna put in at PI - hopefully they'll still have some places to have a drink, not just restaurants.

Biergarten in Germany in the World Showcase (Ich habe Lowenbrau, Danke!)

Also try the new Raglan Road Irish Restaurant & Pub in Downtown Disney. Great place.

I like House of Blues, Yak n Yeti bar, Rose and Crown, and a toss-up between Territories Lounge and Victoria Falls.

Rose & Crown for a Welsh Dragon!

I'll probably appreciate the biergarten when I get back after living in Bavaria for a year.

DW is a big Welsh Dragon fan. I have to stop in for a Guinness or a Boddingtons whenever I can.

I'm partial to the Grand Marnier slushie in the booth in France - DW likes the Grey Goose slushie.

I like the beer selection in general at Raglan Road.

I tried a beers around the world. It was a lot of beers though...I think I skipped a couple.

Love the Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom, great place to relax, people watch, plus the entertainment is fun to watch.
And they make a really good, spicy bloody Mary.

My wife and I always get the frozen margaritas at the stand outside of the Mexico pavilion. It's great to sip one (or two, ok three, no more than four, though) while watching (somewhat cross-eyed after four) Illuminations. Just be careful....
:drinking1 :faint:

OK! I have a great list now. Yeeeeeeeeah. no responsibilities, no car, woo-hoo. :cool1:

I'm intrigued by the "welsh dragon"... I may have to try it out.

Mizners on the second floor in the Grand Floridian. Couple drinks, great view, live jazz band . . . Is it happy hour?

Welsh Dragon - Peach Schnapps, Melon liqueur, Creme de menthe, orange juice, and pineapple juice. - $6.75

It sounds bad, but it is delicious! I've been craving one for over a year...haha

Adventurers Club for a Kungaloosh... :sad1: :sad2:

Oh, and no offense, Sweater in June, but I am SO jealous you are in Bavaria (Bayern)...

Here is a reconstructed recipe. Don't know if its exact, but its pretty close. The waitress last time said she would give the recipe if asked.

Orange juice 6 oz
Pineapple juice 3 oz
Melon liqueur 3 oz
Peach schnapps 2 oz
Creme de menthe 2 tsp

Mix all together and serve with lots of ice.

The key is that the creme de menthe is just a splash - it can overpower the taste of the rest easily.

If you want it stronger, mix it with a good quality vodka.

Haha...don't be jealous of me! I'm over here as part Mary Poppins and part Maria (von Trapp)! (I chase after children in the Alps and sometimes perform magic...) Oh the joys of being a nanny and magician! It's truly an amazing experience and absolutely unbelievable to see the Alps out my window, but at the same time, I'll be happy to start a new FT job at WDW in January... I'll certainly miss Bayern though!

Thanks!!! I'll have to see if I can track those ingredients down here... If not, I know what I'll be doing in January ;)
