Drinking around the world? Help please

Yes (Internet 'trolling' is the anti-social act of causing of interpersonal conflict and shock-value controversy online.)

It was pretty obvious by the thread title, and the 11 previous posts before yours, this thread was to discuss and embrace drinking around the world. To enter it with the sole purpose to basically bash it is pretty much exactly what trolling is.
Whatever. If you think I was trolling, you haven't spent much time on internet message boards.

I didn't realize everyone who posts in a thread has to 100% agree with each other. I will make sure to consult with you before posting next time. Sorry for "ruining" your drinking around the world thread. :sad2:

You don't understand why people would spend their time drinking around the world. I don't understand why people spend their time opening a thread not relevant to their interests just to post about their disinterest. I guess we're even. :thumbsup2

For all those taking pictures you may want to take a look at a neat app for the iPhone. It's called "Drink & Eat around the World at Epcot", and cost's just $1.99! :)

This is awesome!!! Thanks!

Do you really want to get in a pi55ing match over how much time I spend on message boards? Seriously?

I'll put it to you this way, I've spent enough time to spot a troll when I see one.

I didn't realize everyone who posts in a thread has to 100% agree with each other.

Not everyone has to agree, but trolling and disagreeing are two different things. I am sure we can agree though that if you head on over to the dining board you can find a "Whats the best steak at Le Cellier?" thread to enter and questions their desire to eat red meat.

Anyway, back on point - I always make a video slideshow in moviemaker and post it to you tube of our trips with all our friends that join in. Pictures are great, but we always find we take so many and print so few. The slideshows have helped us "share" more moments.

For the same reasons that you can get chased by a bull at home by yourself, but if you do it in Pamplona with a few hundred other people, you've got a memory. & for also the same reason that The Bandit, Snowman & Fred drove all the way to Texarkana, Texas for 400 cases of Coors only to be chased all of the way back by a Smoky... Because they were doing what was said could not be done.

That's why I now love you. Right there...Smoky and the Bandit. I bow to your skills, my friend. :cheer2:

The way I put it a few years ago... to kinda help explain it to some people more familiar with video game difficulty level explanations:

Novice Mode: Beer or Wine only in each country DONE IT
Normal Mode: Mixing Beer, Wine, and 'liquor' drinks around the world DONE IT-Liquor first then beer though.
Hard Mode: Exclusively Liquor drinks around the World DONE IT- it was too hot and I got sick so I won't attempt again.
God Mode: Hitting every country and booth during F&W Next on the list in September but over 2 days
.

For all those taking pictures you may want to take a look at a neat app for the iPhone. It's called "Drink & Eat around the World at Epcot", and cost's just $1.99! :)

No Android though...ugh.

To the OP- there was a wonderful DISer that sent me a passport in full color of DATW stuff- it was cute and had a signature line and a check box...it is older, so it only has about 150 drinks so I will look on my old laptop and see if I can find the file to send to you. Print it up in color and it is the same size as an actual passport.

We have tried to drink around the world. So far only got about half way around lol.

I used to like to start in France with wine, than we would try saki in japan, and a few others here and there.

Good places to stop are the tequila bar in the mexico pavilion. The drinks are good and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable about tequila and how its made and give you history on it and they have flights.

The wine in France is good as well as the creamsickle they sell.

Beers are good in Canada and America and Germany.

Other drinks here and there are good but can't really seem to think of what they were off the top of my head.

Pfffft I can't believe some people suggesting share the drinks, that doesn't count! Try someone's drink, sure! No splitting it, that's cheatinggggggg. It's dirnk around the world, not split a drink around the world :crazy2:

We did it in 2010, gives you a whole new fun perspective of Disney just when your thinking your out growing it lol. I usually have trouble leaving Mexico though, I'm a margarita freak.

I have to say I love your quote, and I am really excited about drinking around the world. It is one of the reasons that I go back to Disney every year even after the kids have grown up and don't always join us. My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary there during the last week in August! Can't wait to clink a few plastic cups with the hubby and enjoying every minute of our "Adult Style" Disney Adventure:cool1:

Just an ordinary day
All at once you're on your way
To a place that drinks will be
No One knows what sights we'll see

You have found a thousand ryes
Tasty beverages arrive
For a moment they are clear
In a flash they disappear

InebriaNATIONS
Tequila flights
On the wings of unexpected sounds and sights
InebriaNATIONS
Are they Real?
Do they mirror what we think or sense or feel?
Neither sobering,
nor pretending
No beginning and no ending

You are a splashing in the stream
of an un-remembered dream
You are searching through the eye
of a drunkard on the ride

InebriaNATIONS
InebriaNATIONS

You are drinking in the park
until the daylight turns to dark
Through the stages of repose
from the liquor that you chose

InebriaNATIONS
Whiskey Flights
On the wings of unexpected sounds and sights
How we did it
Why we go
Is a secret we will never, never know
Neither sobering,
nor pretending
no beginning, and no ending

DC that's beautiful.:thumbsup2 You've just softened the blow of the loss of Marvin Hamlisch for me.;)

We have done this several times, my wife made tshirts with the countrys flags on them and we had the bartender at the country sign it in there native language.

I think the OP was talking about the Drinking Around The World Passport. It hasn't been updated for a while, but you can download the file using the link below. The main thing I would add would be the Tequila Bar in Mexico. The place is fantastic! If you can I would suggest the Herradura Seleccion Tequila. It isn't cheap but it is by far the best Tequila that I have ever tasted!

Drinking Around The World Passport

I did not in any way create this passport. I am just posting it.

I have also seen guests make custom T-Shirts for drinking around the world. As the tour they will check them off on the back of their T-Shirt. Kind of a cool idea.

Have fun!

PS - Drink A LOT of water. Drinking all day in the hot sun is tough!
