Hi guys,
I have a question, hope some experienced ones can help me on this...
I will be buying our US/IOA tickets online for our december 2013 trip to Orlando (a 1-day ticket).
I've read about the Meal & Drink Deals.
What if we don't want the Meal Deal but only the Drink Deal ($ 10.99 p/p)?? :confused3. Is this allowed? Or does the Drink Deal come with the combo Meal Deal?
If we can only buy the Drink Deal what would your advise be on this? Purchase the Drink Deal also online when buying the tickets or buy the Drink Deal at US?

Thanks in advance....:thumbsup2

I haven't used this new one yet, but its only good at the hand full of places that have the free style coke machines. We opted to buy the 8.99 red cup in the park where refills are 99 cents at any restaurant or cart.

I'm weighing the pros and cons of these two options, and I'm wondering if the limited locations of the Freestyle machines are acceptable because you don't have to wait in line to pay for the refill. If we go to pay 99 cents for a refill right at lunchtime, would it potentially take longer than walking to the nearest Freestyle machine?

Yes, I've read that too, also the Drink Deal can only be refilled at the participating Meal Deal locations. My DB doesn't want the Meal Deal, but thought that de Drink Deal could come in handy. But we're only going for one day, so I told him....how much will we drink? But I'm opting for this, so thought if I could get some info.
So you can buy the red cup in any restaurant in the parks? 99 cents is also good for a refill...;)

If we were doing only one day, I'd get the Freestyle mug, hands down. You'll spend a lot more, IMO, on the other option for a one day visit.

I was there the end of July and the line at ritchers for the coke machines was quite long, so I can't say the wait would be shorter but the red cups can be filled in more places so its like 6 of one half a dozen of another so to say

Thanks. The one thing I like is that we can get non-carbonated, sugar-free options at the Freestyle machines. I'll have to see what the crowds look like when we go and figure out which option makes more sense.

I'm assuming no AP discount on either of these?

Red cups yes you can use your discount just not at the carts even for refills saves you 10 cents on each refill but adds up over the days

We are planning one day at Seaworld while we're at Universal. I thought I had read somewhere that you could use the red cups at SW also. Is this true or did I misunderstand?

This would be great, as we're going to Sea World for 2 days later in our trip. We'll have the dining plan the first visit but not the second.
