dress code help please, non disney related

Ok, this is just my opinion but this new hat crazy makes people look foolish. I see women wearing these knit hats in the middle of summer and they are FOOLISH. They do NOT make you look as cool as you think. Ok, I got that off my chest. :lmao:

While generally that may be the case (I don't really care much for arbitrary and capricious rules like this, that have no foundation in health or safety), do keep in mind that others wearing hats indoors may have reasons for which there is no good reason to challenge them. One of our church's recurring musicians wears a hat indoors all the time now, ever since her successful kidney transplant surgery. I don't know her very well, nor do I know the specifics, but there is no reason not to assume that she's wearing a hat indoors now for some important reason, perhaps related to her recent medical concerns.

And there is your exception -- she's a she. The rule about not wearing hats indoors has never applied to women.

OP, if you are male, take your cap off and check it when you arrive; any decent club will still have a hat check counter.

... any decent club will still have a hat check counter.
Maybe that's the best metric: If the club has a hat-check counter, then it is appropriate to check hats. If the club doesn't have a hat-check counter, then evidently the club isn't decent enough to warrant doing so.

;)Are you a guy?

Seriously-how many guys figure out an outfit with a matching cap?

I was thinking this, too......;)
yes i am a guy. no i am not gay. i have been know in years past for my clothes. not so much after turning 50. was voted best dressed male in my senior class. i used to wear hats all the time. not ball caps but themed hats. seems i wont be wearing this one tonite. thanks everyone.

The country club I belong to strictly enforces the no hat rule. If you do not remove it immediately upon entering, one of the club employees will be right there asking you if they can check your hat for you.

:)

Even though you are known for your hats, at a party at a Country Club is not the place for one. Unless its a Costume party.

I'm also one who can not STAND when men & young men wear baseball hats in restaurants.

Oops-sorry, I did not mean in any way that you are gay. My DBIL IS gay and he wouldn't be caught dead in a hat that was a fashion accessory.;)

FWIW, I don't like it when women wear hats as fashion accessories, either. The only exception is a "Church Hat" or one that is to keep your head warm. Which should come off as soon as you step inside.

LOL..............if i wear a leather jacket...........a leather hat.........jeans and denim jacket..........cowboy hat......etc,etc.........look, nowhere here have i said i was normal.............:rotfl2:

Oh.......I was thinking that if yo go to a bbq you wear a burger hat, birthday party a big cake hat, communion- crown of thorns...you get the idea.:cutie:

:rotfl2:

(OP_i wasn't inferring you were gay either. Just my DH throws on something-but would never plan ahead-KWIM?)

I know the rule but wondering how the whole hat is rude to wear indoors thing got started. Personally I wouldn't notice or give an individual in a hat a second look. Unless of course the hat was themed...kidding! Have a great time this evening!

I would wear the hat. Guess I'm in the minority.

end result, did not wear it................did get some good ideas though.......................now..........where did i put that cake hat?..........................................:rotfl2:
