I'm packing for our trip on Monday and i need to know...how do people dress at Pleasure Island? Is it laid-back because most people come straight from the various parks?

I think the style would be considered "anything goes". I've seen girls in cute sundresses and heels, and guys in dockers and nicer shirts. I've also seen people in shorts and t-shirts (aka "straight from the parks"!). I don't believe any of the clubs have a dress code. Wear whatever feels comfortable and have a great time!:)

PS: Make sure to go to The Adventurers Club, its a blast!!:bounce:

I personally subscribe to the "Dress to Impress" dress code when I go to clubs. If you're not interested in picking up members of the other gender, then keep those goofy ears & tanktops on :p

Another opinion, for what it's worth...

I've seen people wearing suits and dresses and thought they were crazy, and I've seen people wearing blue jean shorts and ripped tee shirts and thinking they were pigs. And I've been looked at by the people in blue jean shorts like I was crazy, and by the people in suits and dresses like I was a pig. None-the-less....

I wear docker-style shorts, a leisure shirt but with a collar (no tee shirts), and I've found myself to be among the majority most of the time. Please note, borrowing from the other posts, I go with my wife, so I'm not searching for love in all the DTD places. And I go to the AC and Comedy Club, maybe a couple minutes in the Jazz Club. Probably, it would be helpful to hear from those that spend a lot of time in the BC and Manaquins. But I think if you take "straight from the park" and clean it up a tiny bit, you'll feel comfortable, and you'll be comfortable.

And wdwnut2 hit the important thing: Get thee to the AC.

On my most recent visit to Pleasure Island, I dressed in the style of the great Latin American revolutionary Tony Montana...

Seriously, though, I was in "Scarface" chic. Hawaiian shirt, white pants...the only accessory that gave away my tourism was the fanny pack that contained my wallet and a disposable camera.

Sincerely,

I'm the one in the blue jeans shorts. My tee shirts are unripped, though.

Sorry, I just sometimes do not get the chance to go to the resort and change and still get there before the Balderdash Cup show starts.

Sometimes I see guys in tee shirts with obscene sayings and I wouldn't recommend THAT.

And I guess that says it all! No matter what you're wearing, someone's going to agree, someone's going to disagree, and the other thousand people aren't going to give a rat's fanny. Disney's policy, roughly stated, wear shoes, wear a shirt, and some form of pants. And beyond that, if you're comfortable, fagetaboutit!
