dress code for football games?

We did it with Purdue.
My best friends kids have to do it at Texas A&M and Arizona State.
Neice and 4 current students had/have to do it with IU.
Have seen it with Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, MI State, Michigan, Notre Dame, FSU, MIami as just a few examples. This is from friends and family members sharing photo's of themselves or their kids at games. Of being at games ourselves.

And like I said this is for those students that are sitting in the Student Section.

If your a student that ponied up the cost of a general admission ticket, you can wear what you want. And when the Student section hasn't dictated a color block for that game, you can wear which ever of school colors you want.

Your info is incorrect re: Michigan and Michigan State. They will put out a call for a white out or such, but students who have purchased student section tickets are not kept out if they do not comply. Mind you, most do because tshirts get handed out like crazy, but it's not restricted.

It was very similar at ECU. Certain games were a "black out" or "purple out," and often the school would sell a special shirt in that color. However, you were not required to purchase the shirt, and a lot of students just wore whatever they wanted in the color scheme. Most female students wanted to dress up a bit (not Sunday best, but a nice sundress) so they'd coordinate to whatever the colors were for that game.

So we've eliminated ND, UM, MSU, ASU, and Texas A&M from the PP's list of schools that "dictate" what students wear to games. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that there isn't a college in the country that will prevent someone from entering the game and sitting in their assigned seat because of the color of the shirt.

OP, wear what you want to the games. Just recognize that you're being a curmudgeon. But that's OK - we're all a curmudgeon about something.

I always go with the wrong color on. Then either the cheer squad or the alumni association or whichever group is handing out the Free T shirts in the correct color will give me one.

Oh it's white out day? I wore my school colors. BAM!! !! Free white T shirt.

Oh it's Gold Day? I wore the wrong color. BAM!! Free gold T shirt.
