Dress Code For First Night On Wonder

Can anyone please tell me if the dress code is enforced on the First Night of a 4 Night Wonder Cruise or if it is come as you wish? I thought that I had read that they do not enforce the dress code on the first night but my husband said he didn't think that was true......... Thank you

They don't ever "enforce" the dress code - unless you show up in your bathing suit or something else ridiculously inappropriate. The first day navigators have the same "suggested" dress.

Most people dress for dinner the first night. Your luggage will most likely reach your room in plenty of time, but DCL recommends putting your dinner clothes in your daybag just in case (indicating that they think you might want to dress for dinner). Our luggage had arrived and I had finished unpacking before the boat drill. And, unless you need to shower and fully primp, there is plenty of time between the sail away party and first seating to throw on long pants or a skirt.

Hi! I can concur with what the first poster said. We were on the 3-day Wonder last October. We got Triton for our first night's dining, and I actually tried to change the order so we wouldn't have to dress up (we were a bit tired from 5 days in WDW) and the CM told me not to worry, the first night is always casual. In fact, there were more Hawaiin (sp) shirts at dinner than jackets. We did wear long pants, though.

We were on 3-day cruise on the Wonder last November, the same circumstances as Lisa D, fresh off several days at WDW and assigned Tritons the first night!

DW always follows rules to the letter, so we followed the dress suggestions. It was a little hectic, but after a lot of wrinkle releaser we made it for early seating in our formal attire!

I'd say at least 25%, probably more, of the men were not wearing jackets / ties.
