I need to vent. I booked a room at the Sheraton Safari for July through dreams unlimited. I called the hotel directly today to confirm reservation since this was the first time I ever booked through an agency. I was told the price was higher than I booked with dreams unlimited. I email dreams unlimited but I am so upset I am looking for another place to stay. Has anyone ever had this problem where they book a room for a certain price get a confirmation stating the price and then charged for a higher price. Just when I thought everything was in place for my trip!!!! Has anyone ever stayed on site at the Royal Pacific Universal. Is it worth the money.

First of all I dont know if your anger towards Dreams is valid. Perhaps the hotel messed up? Give Dreams a chance to let you know what they show.

I am giving Dreams a chance but you can't just pick up the phone and call them. You have to wait for them to respond to your email. I am just angry at the whole situation not at dreams. You spend so much time making all the reservations and you think you are all done, just need to verify all the confirmations and then you find out something is wrong. Just mad that you can't get an answer right away.

Yes it is all straightened out. Dreams emailed (even tried to call me at home). they said this never happened before. I must have a black cloud over me this month because a lot of things are going wrong. He said I do have the reservation for the amount I first booked them with. I am going to call the hotel directly again today and make sure. So if anyone is reading this, it was not Dreams Unlimited's fault. It was the hotels. Thanks for letting me vent.

We stayed at Royal Pacific last Thanksgiving and I thought it was really nice for the price I got with entertainment card and Loew's first card priveleges. The best advantage by far was no waiting in line. I will never stay off-property at Universal again, regardless of price for this reason alone. I've never stayed on site elsewhere so I can't draw a comparison for you but the whole atmosphere was fun, somewhat elegant in a bali sort of way. The pool was nice and you can use the pools at Hard Rock and Portofino as well. Very close walk to Citywalk, you don't need the boat to get there or the parks unless you just want the boatride or have small children. My kids preferred the pool at HRH because of the slides but RPR is much less expensive. BTW, the rooms are small, but 4 of us did manage quite well.
