I have been to Disney World several times (about to take my 10th trip!) and decided that this time I would go ahead and book with Dreams Unlimited. I had read some things about how helpful they were and that it made your trip easier.

Our trip is now 87 days away and I don't yet feel that there is any reason to have booked thru DU. We haven't had any negative experiences with them but still nothing that is showing us that it is something worth doing.

Is it possible that the worth doesn't come through until closer to the trip? Is there more work to be done as we get closer to the date?

Those of you who consistently use DU, please share your stories and let me know the true benefits of using the service!

Thank you! :confused3

I've used DU about 3 times now. I use them primarily to get me any discounted room rates. Yes, I can make them myself but I just can't see sitting on hold with CRO for over an hour, waiting to get an AP rate for a room. Since we bought into DVC I don't use DU nearly as comprehensivly as I used to though. I usually book a 3 day stay at the beginning or the end of our DVC stay in order to save those week-end points. And that way I get to either stay at old favorite resorts or try a new one. I usually get my own PS (ADRs) but if I wanted a hard to get one like CRT for breakfast or an IllumiNations Cruise, I would have DU try to get it for me. Our agent has been very lucky in getting those when we have needed them. But, she can only book things that fall during the dates of our non-DVC stay.

So, I guess that the answer is that DU is very good if you don't have the time or the inclination to get your own stuff taken care of. They are very knowledgable when it comes to WDW and have given me terrific service. Thanks Shirley!!!

I am using DU for the first time for our Sept. trip. Our DU rep, Sue Ellen, has been very helpful and quick to respond to e-mails. She even booked the Cinderella breakfast for us, which I understand is very hard to get. She has also periodically sent e-mails about Disney-related things (i.e. tips on upcoming events, etc.). I've been happy with DU so far.

I am also using DU for the first time and Sue Ellen is my TA also. Since my trip isn't until late November, there isn't much for her to do quite yet, but she was quick from the outset and had the best quote for my trip. She was also right on top of arranging for my MVMCP ticket and my PS (or whatever they call them now) for LTT for dinner that MVMCP night.

I could have done all of this myself, but my main reason for going with a TA was to get any discounts that come around. It's possible that I might want to get an AP if the price is right, so I'm using DU to help if those codes come out and if it makes sense to do. But I agree - Sue Ellen has been very helpful, attentive, and informative all along :)

We use DU for two main reasons. The first is that they get the codes for us, no 40 minute wait for me! Secondly they make all of our PS for us (we make quite a few). Regina even got us CRT at the exact time we wanted.

We got a quote from DU for a maybe August trip. I have always done everything myself. Is there any reason I should use them for this trip, we will ge getting the dining ( that is why we are going :goodvibes . So is there any discounts that may come out. I mean this is already a discount deal. Please help me decide. Also we always park hop. Is it really worth the extra cost of park hop. How have you guys done it without hopping? Thanks

Deanna :bored:
