I very much hope that the roped off area is reinstated but it might be an idea to check at City Hall earlier in the day.
When we were watching Dreams at the beginning of the month there was an area roped off roughly where the disabled area is for the parade ie on the Frontierland/Adventureland side of the central hub and extending partially into the centre. However after our first night there was no roped off enclosure at all and no CMs wandering around to help either.
Whether this was because it was less busy (although I think the only night it was really quiet was the first night when we had the roped off area) or whether this is now policy I don't know I'm afraid.
Incidentally, for the non-roped off evenings we watched there was no chance of us getting to the benches, they had been commandeered long before by people who then used them to stand on to film, thereby blocking the view for many behind.
How annoying Im surprised CMs didn't tell them to get down. I could waddle over and hope someone gives up a seat for me if i keep rubbing my back but that never worked on the shuttle bus so I doubt it would for Dreams
. Completely agree about shuttle buses. Caught our first and last shuttle to the NBC this Easter with DS who is obviously disabled and has poor balance. We were there early but because DS struggled to get on everyone pushed passed us and took the seats and we had to stand. I had to try and wedge DS upright as he couldn't balance once the bus set off, he fell over taking me with him and still no one offered a seat. We had strollers pushed into us - it was horrendous.
And we are back to "ask three cast members and get four different statements."
Although... isn't the Dreams Dining thing named "VIP Dining"? Maybe they meant the same thing after all.
Good news, Lilacgems and Nikki - we watched Dreams last night from the disabled area. It was on the central hub on the Adventureland entrance side and had plenty of room to view and CMs in charge. There were benches in the area, all taken but we had only turned up 10 minutes before the start. The VIP area was roped off separately.
this is gonna make it so much more relaxing knowing that i wont get stressed children!! so, is it the area that they rope of for the parade???
