I know I have already said this about a million times but I am amazed at how many special and magical things have happened to you on this trip. WDW is just the best!
I was amazed as well! You should have seen me...I must have looked like a frog trying to catch flies with my mouth hanging open all of the time.
The number of awesome experiences doesn't surprise me one bit! What you "send out into the world" is what you get back; and jaycns' family sends the happy, loving family vibe out and that's what the world (in this case Disney World!) is giving back to them.
What a very sweet thing to say! Thanks! But we are no different then most families I would guess. I think WDW has a way with bringing out the happiest sides of people!!
Scarey about the monorail closing but I suppose after the last one ran - they just shut the gate - it probably was at some station down the line at exactly the right hour.
You shall have your care package, Jay. I'll be at the world for almost 3 weeks in January. I always stock up - but ration the bombs to one a week as well, they're so expensive. We love Basin's shampoo bars, too.
When is the baby due?
PS. I so agree with you, Laura!
You are right Linda, I never even thought of that! They need to list the closing time as the time the last monorail runs...either that or I need to leave a better time cushion.
SHAMPOO BARS?! Oh Linda, NOW YOU ARE IN TROUBLE!! I am gonna tell dh on you!! It is all your fault that I now need to try yet another product!!

Do tell more about these shampoo bars...they sound intriging!
The little kicker is due Jan. 27...however, my doctor has warned me not to expect a late January baby...most likely he will be born sometime between Christmas and mid January. The later the better...but we shall see how things are going as the time draws closer.
I am so excited to have another little baby to spoil!!

I love little ones!!

Little ones "bring good things to life".
PM me if you have a chance with an update about B.
Again fab post. I'd never considered the Califonia Grill before but it sounds and looks great. What time was your ADR for, just thinking along the lines of being able to watch fireworks after dinner?
Our ADR was about two hours before the fireworks started. I think it was a bit "too early" however, I had read that was the way to do it here on the DIS. They said you might have to wait a bit for a request of a table "windowside". They also warned that those who get seated before you might dwaddle over dinner (much the way our family did) in order to retain their window seats. Personally I think that about an hour and a half before fireworks time would be better. Time for a leisurely meal but yet you wouldn't feel like you were taking too long (at least I felt that way). Being as the nightly fireworks times can vary, it's good to check before making an ADR.
Also, if you don't get a window seat, you can always go out on to the observation deck and watch the fireworks from there. I think it would be a lot of fun to watch a
MNSSHP,
MVMCP or P&PP special fireworks from that vantage point. I am hoping to be able to plan that during our next trip. The whole being eye level with most of the fireworks thing was a real treat.
Cant wait to hear what happens next!
I will post another update tomorrow (or the next day) at the latest! Thanks for sticking with the report!
And the magical moments keep coming! It's nice to see that customer service is still alive and well in some places.
That was awesome service. I have NO idea what we would have done if they wouldn't have helped us out. It was NOT our brightest moment.
Great update once again. I am going to have to give Cali Grill another try. That Sushi looks wonderful. Our last experience was really bad. Must have been an off day I guess. Your boys are just adorable. I love the dessert creations. I would have signed up for the gift cards thing also. LOL.
Our food was really good. I was surprised that we enjoyed it so much. I MUST return to have a serving of sushi for myself! I was so jealous of "Aladdin's"!! I want my own sushi!! I better watch out...no sushi for me for a few months yet...so I don't want to start craving it...uh oh...it may be too late!!

SUSHI!! YUM!
I had read about a few not so great meals there. I wonder if they have improved or if it was just good luck. I hope it's a real improvement for good. I would love to have another meal that is so off the charts delicious!
I know. Hot dogs...who knew they were the greatest food ever created?! I guess I missed out on that knowledge myself.

we got video too! Great update jay, California Grill is on my list of places I want to try and your review just made me want to go even more. I'd also like to know what time your ADRs were, that's so cool to watch Wishes from there!
I was pleasantly (is that spelled right - it looks funny?) surprised to hear about the CMs at the Contemporary giving you a ride back to the GF - I thought customer service like that was long gone!
Dh said they probably looked at our account and saw how much money we had spent that day (between the cake, the dinner, the arcade and my Basin spending spree I would say we did a good job on the spending front) and figured they better get us back so we could get some sleep and spend like that the next day.
My guess is they just couldn't have guests sleeping in the lobby.
