This can only be described as the greatest Disney trip ever! We went to DHS 1st and won Dream Fast Passes in One Man’s Dream (described in an earlier post).

We went to Magic Kingdom on Labor Day around 5pm and it was empty! Went to Tony’s restaurant and got seated right away with no reservation. After a few rides a Dream Squad member called people over to the Sword in the Stone behind the castle to pick a prince and princess of the day and my DD11 won! She got a nice certificate and sticker.

The next day we went to DHS at about 8:30am. The lines at the turnstiles weren’t too long and we picked a short line. I walked near the rear of the lines to see if any other turnstiles would open up and I saw a CM eye me out. She slowly walked up to me and asked “How many are with you?” I said “3” and she said “How would you like to open the park up for us?”! I’ve seen the opening show numerous times and definitely wanted in! We got taken in the park early and were part of the “Hollywood here we come!” show they do. We got taken in Walt’s car (they said it was actually one of his cars, there are 3 in existence, 2 there and 1 in CA). We got taken to RRC and got to watch the pre-show by ourselves and then a whole coaster to ourselves. They also gave us a fast pass for TOT for whenever we wanted. At the end of the day we went to Guest Relations as told and they gave us a nice thank you card and a free picture from our RRC ride! Awesome!

THEN we went to Epcot the next day. We got right to the rope and stood there for a few minutes when a CM went up to my wife and said “How many are with you?” - “3” - “Would you like to be our family of the day?” YES!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! We got 2 good for whenever FP’s and all the characters (MM,MM,Pl,G,C&D) came up to meet us and take pictures. We then got into the test track vehicle for a ride to TT. A CM took us to the ride and after riding it he asked if we wanted to go again. Sure! After that he took us up to the HP lounge in Mission:Space. It’s a cool little lounge on the second floor that overlooks the line inside. The 2 HP employees offered us drinks (coffee and soda) and we played a little video game they had. Apparently all HP employees can go there anytime. Very cool. The CM then took us into the “Mission Control” room (you can see this room while your in line). The CM working there showed us how everything worked. After enjoying the rest of the day we went to a roped off section in Italy to watch the fireworks! It was incredible!

We also won Dream Mickey Ears at the end of Mission:Space later that morning! We saw people coming out of the ride with them on, so went on real quick (the park was empty)and they were giving them out to people playing the video game at the end of the ride.

Barring winning a castle night stay, we can never top this!

Congrats, sounds like you had so much fun. I thought free dining would make Sept busier. I wonder if all the storms around kept some people away. Would love to open a park, but wonder if the makeup of our family would prevent it, we have a 15 yr old, 11 yr old and an infant. Congrats again!

It sounds like your family had a truly magical vacation!! :cool1: Thanks for sharing it with us!!

That is awesome! What a great trip! One you will never forget!

That's awesome!!! I thought we did well winning dream fast passes at HS and being the family that opened Mickey's Philharm. Congrats to you!! Don't you wish you could've taken pics of it happening????? I do-just to see our reaction!!! Then we'd know what the dreamakers see!!!:goodvibes

Wow.. you are very lucky. My mum and i are always jealous of people with the Dream FastPasses!! :goodvibes

That was another great thing - the CM's took our camera a took numerous great pictures, more than they took for the photopass. I'll be putting together a video with pictures included (I videotaped a lot of the Epcot event).I'll update post when I finish it.

Congrats!! I loved your video of the "blueberries". Just curious what time you got to EPCOT? Do u know if they ever pick a family of 4? That would be awesome!! We will be there next week (assuming that pesky Hurricane Ike stays away and we are able to fly in) and I'm hoping to see the blueberries with icing!!

We got there about 8:30 or so, but we were picked at the rope after being let in(at Epcot). I think they can pick a family of 2-4 because 4 is the maximum seats in the special test track car, whereas they only have 3 seats in Walt's car at DHS. So - get to Epcot early, when you get let in quickly get to the rope where your easily in sight of the CM's who do the picking.

And thanks for the comments on the video, I'll be posting another one shortly about this trip!

I believe I'll be getting up early for my November trip! I'm going with my mom, and she would be considered to be a "lucky" person. I'm just hoping to get FP's or Dream Ears!!!

Congrats to you and thanks for posting this!!! I can have a little hope that we can win something now!

That is unbelievable. With those odds I would have bought some lottery tickets.
