Dream Thanksgiving cruise Nov 23, 2015

Don't I wish!! Maybe if someone can make like a lanyard or something we can hand them out towards the beginning of the cruise. Last time some of us met in the terminal and we also had a meet and greet the first day. Nothing fancy, just something to make any last minute changes to cabins and such. Just an idea. Don't know why but I am still not getting emails when there is a new post! I feel so left out!!

I think that is a great idea for a meet and to hand out stuff beforehand (like in the terminal). We have to decide if we want to do rubber bracelets, lanyards, pins or something else.

I have requested two graphics from one of the creative designers here on the dis. I will post them for all of us to use once they are done.

This is our first cruise. We are staying at Disney 3 nights prior to the cruise. What transportation is everyone using to get to port? I have Disney bus scheduled but I am thinking about changing to a town car to pick us up and drop us off. Can someone tell me pros/cons about these two choices? The pro for a town car is getting to the port earlier. This is the reason I am thinking about switching.

We are using a transportation company to get us to and from the cruise. I don't remember what Disney charges but I thought it was high for a bus full of people. I can't think of any pros for riding the bus. My guy is less and we leave when we want. He also will stop at the grocery store on the way if we want so we can pick up any last minute things. So...it's getting close! I was on the site today looking at excursions. Has anyone been to these port of calls before? If so what would you suggest? We're kind of limited because of the 3 year old, but I'm positive whatever we do will be fun!

THANKSGIVING DREAMERS

We just booked this cruise this morning. We have been waiting for Disney to release the dates!
We are a family of four with two girls who will be aged 16 and 10 by the time we cruise. My brother and his family will be joining us along with my mom and her husband. Possibly more families will join us. I am looking forward to seeing the ship, island and WDW dressed up for Christmas. I have never been to WDW at Christmas.

The last time we went to Nassau we went to Atlantis. It is a beautiful hotel with a water park, aquarium, casino, restaurants and a beach. We did not book through Disney we booked a room at the Choice Hotel on the property which gave us access to everything at Atlantis for a fraction of the price. The kids loved the waterpark. It is a really nice one with a lazy river, toddler play area and the big slides that they show on the commercials. I think this trip that we will stay on the ship and enjoy the emptyness of it. Maybe do the Aquaduck 10 times in a row!

Right now it looks like 14 cabins are definitely participating and we set the cut off for October 12 (Columbus Day)!

Hi! My fiance' Alex and I taking this Disney Cruise for our Honeymoon. Our wedding is the Saturday before we set sail on Monday. This will be first time Disney Cruisers, but are so excited out this trip! We are in Cabin 6062. We would like to participate in FE, but would like some info since we are new to all of this.

Looking forwards to a great trip!

I did the ME thing - Not everyone is married, so I am not A DW - I guess DM then is the appropriate abbreviation?

If you are not a DW or DH then you should be whatever you want to be. If DM is Dear Mom then that works too. I don't know what other abbreviations could be used but DM makes sense to me.

Dear Mom, Disney Mom, whichever...DM works for me. I just never really thought about it before typing the post and then seeing the confusion. Sorry about that. LOL, I just gave my mom and my kids yet another reason to give me a hard time about not being married - message boards don't even have an abbreviation for me :-D (Single mom, by choice - adoption)

Abar Family will be aboard to celebrate my MIL and FIL 50th wedding anniversary. There will be 10 of us. It's our 2nd Disney Cruise and 4th overall cruise. My DH, DD(5), dd(3) and I will be in 7640. I'm unsure if we'll participate in the FE since it's such a short cruise and we'll be with family. Still thinking. We are excited to show our extended family how amazing a Disney cruise is since they have not been on one before. I'm a little concerned about the weather but just being on the the DCL during the holidays will be magic!

My family usually cruises in Oct so I am looking forward to not cruising during hurricane season for once. Although we have not had any problems on any past cruises.
